We were seated quickly and the food was great. I ordered the appetizer quesadillas and it was HUGE. My husband and I split it. The guacamole was great as well. Margaritas were delicious. We did not try the scorpion shot because it was $20 and I honestly don’t think I could eat a scorpion!!

Order: Queso Modela & 3 Tacos (Beer Battered Avocado, Grilled Pineapple and Black Beans, & Pastor)Price: $20Positives: Good tacos with some unique options (fried avocado, jackfruit, grilled pineapple), crazy good queso, lots of beer if that’s your thing, very good outdoor seatingNegatives: The tacos didn’t really jump out as amazing, just goodtldr: Taco’s and beer seems like a great place to hang out with friends, drink some beer, crush some queso and eat good tacos. The key here, I think, is the hanging out with friends and beer part; while the queso was definitely amazing the tacos weren’t the best we had in Vegas.Thoughts: Stop number five on the eat and drink all the things tour in Vegas. It was fairly late at night, at least for us, as we had spent the evening visiting some friends at their house. We decided we wanted something to eat, but nothing crazy heavy, and really wanted it to be a quick in and out. Since I think it’s impossible to eat too many tacos we decided to go get tacos for the second time on our first full day in Vegas. Tacos and Beer wasn’t far away so we decided to swing in and give them a shot, especially since they were still open. It’s definitely more of a restaurant then your standard taco shop and there were a lot of people there drinking and hanging out. Make sense because you know, beer is in the name. We sat down in their cool outdoor seating area and quickly perused the menu. We settled on sharing three tacos and their Queso Modelo after some opinions from our server. It didn’t take long for the food to come out and we dug in. The tacos were all very good, but if I’m being honest the place we went earlier in the day was noticeably better. The fried avocado was good but was just fried avocado, the pastor was good but not quite as flavorful and juicy as some of my favorite taco places, the only real exception was the pineapple taco. The pineapple taco was made with small chunks of pineapple that were grilled and then tossed into the taco almost like chunks of meat. I don’t know that it would be a favorite taco of mine, but it was very delicious and was a sweet, cool, refreshing taco versus the standard tacos filled with meat. The real winner here was the Queso Modelo! Imagine your standard queso but with a special sauce and ground beef added in! It was killer. Absolutely something I would come back to Tacos and Bear for. It actually got me wondering whether the thing to get here Is there appetizers instead of their entrées. Regardless it was a pretty good choice for a late night. And it might be something I come back to if I was in the area. I think there are better tacos around but still overall a really good place. And it’s worth pointing out that they staff was very friendly and very helpful, and you could get in and out pretty quickly. Overall a good place to grab some tacos and queso.
