This was our third time to eat at Acapulco, two visits were on Motherâs Day, 2018 and 2019. We walked in around noon and were seated immediately, the menu has many traditional dishes and great ala carte selection. Food was brought out before we finished the chips and queso, food was well prepared with good portions.

This place a has a great downtown location. The food was mediocre. Fun atmosphere but that and the location seem to be the draw, not the food. Other local taco joints serve better fare.
Thought we would give them a try. Found the roasted chicken very tender but overly salty. Even our 11 yr old grandson said the same. The tenders were NOT tender, and very dry. Sides ok. Pricy for the product. Restaurant is pretty small as is the parking lot; it would be a nightmare if and when they are busy. Our consensus was we're not coming back. Too much good competition. We will stick with ChikFiLa and Popeyes.

Arrived as a party of 2 and told it would be about 20 min wait. That was fine. But after 40 min and people going in that came after us we decided to go check. We were told that they seat bigger parties than 2 before they did us. Tried to say they had called our name but we were right there the whole time. After checking they said it would be at least another 40 min wait. Needless to say we left. Went down to Lafours seafood and were served immediately.Nita, we're very sorry to hear this. We never want to make you wait or feel unappreciated. My husband and I along with another couple had a double anniversary celebratory dinner here when we were visiting the Hill Country. The four of us were delighted with our choices of Teriyaki/Chipotle Shrimp, Chicken Alfredo, Cilantro/Lime Shrimp, and the Filet. Service was impeccable and the ambiance of the beautiful art and historic stone walls made it a very special dinner. We finished in time to walk over to view the sunset on the Guadalupe River. Just a perfect evening!

Went there based on Trip Advisor ratings. Group of 5. I ordered the brisket plate. I would rate it as average at best. I've had more tender briskets than one served. Side dish of potato salad and beans were fine. One of group order chicken soup which was clearly homemade and considered very good. The portions were large, you won't leave hungry. If I were to return would order something else, maybe take advice of other reviews.
