Strawberry watermelon margarita was very good. Chicken enchiladas were good, but perhaps too hot for person eating them so I finished one (got 3). Rice that came with it was good, pinto beans avg. Mushroom tacos were very good, would order again! Be nice if chips/salsa was complimentary and perhaps some salsa offered to go with mushroom tacos.

My wife and I visited on a recent Thursday evening. We we're quickly seated. It took about 5 minutes for our server to check in with us and to take our order. The food was brought to our table and our server disappeared. He never checked on us, no offer to refill a drink, no desire to see if our needs were being met. He did refill my wife's water after we had completed our meal when he brought our check. Never once did he ask me about a refill. I has attempted to catch his eye during my meal. This is not what I have come to expect here. However he was not so busy that he could not have been more attentive. His tip did reflect his level of service.

Mexican themed full service restaurant with a hip, tropical feel. Full service bar with award winning margaritas and Utah's largest tequila selection with over 60 labels to choose from. Open for lunch and dinner 7 days a week with a brunch menu available
Reasonable prices, good food. They have parking adjacent to the building. It's on the corner of Highland Drive and 33rd South. They have been there several years and the food and service are consistently good. You begin your meal with complimentary chips and salsa. They have several food options. My husband usually orders the #1 combination which is a taco and an enchilada that comes with rice and beans. The is way too much food for me, so I usually order ala carte - a taco and an enchilada. It's a lovely setting and quite a large restaurant. They have several booths of varying sizes and also an area with tables that can be combined for large groups. They also have a full bar and seating in the bar area. Our meal came to about $20. We went away full and satisfied. It's one of my "go to" places to eat. I highly recommend it.

Okay. This isn't a great Mexican restaurant. It's a "greasy spoon" with unforgettable, cookie cutter decor seen at countless Mexican food dives from coast to coast (more prevalent west of the Mississippi) However, on a Friday at 11:00 A.M., after a Thursday night of bar hopping, the smothered Tamales were incredible, with a taste sensation that rivaled any Parisian Michelin starred restaurant. That's what's great about food. At any given moment, at any given time, without a moment's notice, a hamburger, a taco, a plate of pasta, a meatball hoagie, a sub sandwich, can satisfy like the "nectar of the gods." If you love food, it doesn't matter what the cost, how it was prepared, or how beautiful the presentation. "Man, that tasted good!" Cafe Silvestre "hit the spot" yesterday morning.
