Providing fresh, fast, friendly eats with a smile
If you like Tex-Mex in a fast food mode, you will like it here. Alot of mole and beans and rice as a filler.Nothing special but fits the desired taste. Interior very tight, counter service only, small restaurant and small portions. There are better choices in town!

A wonderful family run Mexican place with awesome food and friendly service! I had the Enchilada Acapulco which was so very yummy I ate every single bite! My friends said the margaritas were awesome (I wasn't drinking that night). Finish off the meal with homemade ice cream or cobbler and it's a meal that can't be beat!!

My wife, daughter, and 2 teenage grandchildren had lunch here, and we really enjoyed it. Food was great, service was good, had a great atmosphere inside with a little river flowing along side the restaurant with some outside creekside seating. They have some of the better Margaritas we have had--very strong! We were visiting here on vacation and my family want to go back for a second visit before we leave the area.

I would consider Jefe's to be like a Qdoba or Chipotle restaurant, they serve typical modern Tex-Mex cuisine, burritos, nachos, quesadillas, etc. I was very happy with my lunch, I had their chicken nachos with black beans, rice, pico de gallo, and queso. It was quick and tasted very good. The staff was friendly and the price was not unreasonable for a mountain base location. Definitely a good stop for lunch.

Our diverse menu includes signature tacos with house made salsas, unique tamales, famous chile rellenos and enchiladas, seasonal favorites such as posole, gazpacho, ceviche and pumpkin flan in addition to nearly 50 more items. The margaritas are Latin-ins
And that's at best. Server was hassled, slow. Food barely warm, portions small, very salty. My burrito had about one tablespoon of green chili. Another of us got a burger and some wings; the wings came for dessert. Definitely would not go back. Some in our group knew the old Rubens in south CB and said things had gone way down. No wonder the place was mostly empty during one of the busiest weeks - Wildflower Festival. I guess good things can't last.
