We were recommended by our accommodation host to visit Domus. The restaurant is located in an old villa building which already gives elegance to the place. Both waiters were friendly, recommended dishes. We tried grilled octopus as a starter which was excellent. Later both seabass and shrimps ravioli was delicious and the local almond based dessert was also fantastic. We highly recommend this place once you are in Avola and fancy a good dinner! Grazie Domus!

A great family-run restaurant. A real family environment. The owners are exceptionally friendly and helpful. They really make you feel at feel at home (except that the food's much better). The dishes are typical of the local tradition and really excellent. I had the chance to taste local cheese just delivered by the local farmer
Wine bar, Kraft beer, Appetizer, Typical products and much more. All strictly with Sicilian artisanal products
Charming restaurant with delicious food. We had salads, sandwiches and excellent toasties. The portions were plentiful and we had some truly delicious wine to wash it down with. Lovely staff and a great atmosphere. We all went home happy

We stumbled upon this place when looking for a traditional lunch place near Noto. When we arrived, we were welcomed like friends. No menu - you simply select meat or fish (preceded by antipasti and pasta). The food was excellent: antipasti included homemade salami with fennel, spicy caponata, lightly fried ricotta, olives from their property. And the pasta - deep, rich ragu with homemade orrecheti - was so good and filling that we skipped the secondi course. Highly recommend!

You have try the raviolis with swordfish and pistachio sauce … just amazing!!! We also had smoked tuna and swordfish as antipasti and they were delicious. I definitely recommend this place.

Very modern interior but not necessarily comfortable. We chose to sit outside and risk the mosquitoes. Food was good, attentive and friendly service although it got a bit lax as the restaurant got crowded. May be because there was only one waiter who could speak English. My fritto misto was presented well. Nice and crispy but the mayonnaise and the sweet chiili sauce served were out of bottles. My husband's salmon tartar was also good but the highlight was definitely the dessert pistachio mousse. Good selection of local wines at reasonable prices.

The food is good but I have tasted equally tasty food elsewhere and definitely wasn't expecting rotten produce as per photo. Was disappointed that despite making a reservation, we were seated just right next to a very noisy establishment. It was so noisy we could barely hold a conversation without raising our voices. Not impressed at all.

Tastings of cheeses and cold cuts ,happy hours, appetizer, wine bar, typical Sicilian products! Vegetarian and gluten-free dishes, sandwiches, wraps and salads!
A delicious variety of cooked meats, salami, prosciutto crudo, cheeses, couscous, home made caponata etc, served on a wooden board with a choice of a glass of vino rosso or bianco, beer or soft drinks. Service is fast and friendly. The staff are very welcoming. We were 2 couples - the couple we were with had been before and recommended it to us. They also do packed lunches, panini to carry out for beach or school kids. We ordered a carafe of vino bianco in addition to the drink that is included in the meal deal. The portions are very generous. We all opted for the medium aperi cena for 7,50€ that was great value for money. It is well signposted because it can't be seen from the street. Once you see the large sign, you go downstairs to below street level. There's a small lit garden with outside tables and chairs or you can sit inside. The space is lovely and private and the road noise can't be heard. We have already recommended it to our friends and will return. It gets very busy from around 20:30 onwards but they do take bookings. Oh and the variety of bread, bruschetta and stuffed breads are delicious. Thank you to our lovely waitress who was really friendly, welcoming and efficient. A prossima....

This young chef knows his way around the kitchen, with original and well-chosen combinations of ingredients. His salmon sashimi was superb and his spaghetti in oyster-water with tuna-eggs is an absolute winner. From the outside you would not guess that there is such a great place inside this building. Absolutely worth a detour.

Enoteca Cheese Bar: Wines, Salami, Cheese. Only the best of Sicilian food and wine. Share correct information, to enhance and promote the consumption of cheese, wine and typical Sicilian quality products
We visited this enoteca on a Saturday evening (opens at 18:00). We were welcomed by the owner and his wife. Very friendly people with only one small disadvantage (for some tourists). They do not speak English or (I think) any other language but Italian... But that did not matter! I did my best expressing what I wanted to taste (due bianco, tre rosso, minerale, etna, fruity,...) I tasted great wines, we ate fabulous cheeses and wines. I paid the wines max 5 Euro more than in a big wine shop in Syracuse but the service, the smiles and passion way compensated for this. Great place!
