We stayed three nights at Villarrica Park Lake Hotel and had a wonderful stay. Of the three nights, we ate dinner out of the hotel twice and had dinner our final night at Aquas Verdes in the hotel. This was one of the worst dining experiences I can remember having! The only good thing I can say about the experience is that the restaurant has breath-taking views of the lake--the dining area is open and very pleasing. BUT--everything about the meal was unacceptable! After ordering drinks, the server brought a bread plate. I tried to cut the roll in half but it was too hard for the knife to negotiate. When the server returned, I demonstrated my frustration by hitting a roll on the table! 15 minutes later, freshly baked and soft rolls arrived! Obviously, these were rolls from a prior meal or day!! Our salads were fine but nothing special. The main courses were terrible. My wife ordered the gnocchi and they were very hard (not fresh!) and the sauce terrible. This was the worst gnocchi dish I have ever tasted! I had a chicken dish--the chicken was okay but the sauce was over powering and much too heavy. We finished with a creme brûlée which was okay but nothing special. Regarding the heavy sauce, we had lunch at Aquas during our stay and both of us had ravioli which was overpowered by a sauce that was too heavy and rich, and ruined the underlying ravioli. The chef needs to appreciate that most don't care for heavy and overpowering sauces anymore! Maybe we hit this on a bad night, but based on our experience, I recommend going to either Pucon or Villarrica where we had excellent meals--dinner at Aquas is just not good!

Music, craic, good fun and great beer! They make their own (if I'm not mistaken) and offer up other local names. Great decor, and a great time. Decent eats too.
Easily the best coffee I've had in Latin America. This cozy little cafe and the owners are a gem of the city and definitely deserve a visit if you're in the neighborhood. They have an amazing variety of hot and cold drinks and their cakes are delicious! Thank you so much for your work :)

Chilean delicious, cheap and homemade food, served by its owners, rich and varied sandwich, hot dogs and chorrillanas not forget to visit during your stay in Villarica!
Menu is disjointed and difficult to work out. Asked for my burger to be extra extra well cooked and it was still pink in the middle. Liquid dripping off burger and soaking buns.Chips were soggy and tasted like oil was old- not great.Service was non existent. No attention or professionalism.

If you want to try what a typical chilean family eats day to day.. this is the place. Good to go with your children, tasty food, nice and simple ambient. Good prices too !! Close to other attractions in town so it allows a pleasant stop over.

I was there with my girlfriend because of the comment on TripAdvisor. We were really disappointed. Waiting for more than 2 hours to have a bottle of sparkling water is not normal. The salmon and the beef were toasted. We asked for both of them rare cooked. I told my opinion to the waiter at the end of the dinner and he even hasn't offered us our drinks or something else on the bill. Unpleasant moment.
