Reviews on South American food in Ushuaia, Province of Tierra del Fuego, Argentina. The world's southernmost city is located on the Beagle Channel, between the Martial Range and the end of the world. It is a key access point to skiing at Cerro Castor and Glaciar Martial, wildlife adventures with penguins and orcas in the Beagle Channel, and Tierra del Fuego National Park. Of course, it’s also the port of call nearest Antarctica, and a unique destination for kayaking, sailing or having a drink in a warm hotel bar.

Oh boy! If you are looking for something truly out of the ordinary, then Rincon Gourmet is mandatory! Ariel, the owner, built a little hut, where he serves his guests with top-notch meals. He is a trained chef who learned some of his craft around the world, including France. He cooks and serves his guests himself, hence there are only few tables. There is no menu, because he choses his dishes on what fresh ingredients he finds, so you can typically chose between a few starters, mains and deserts. He offers a few hand picked high class wines for reasonable prices. The entire experience feels like having a dinner at a friends home. Its cozy, small, rustic, high class. The food was absolutely tasty, and the entire evening was supercharged by the friendly service and funny conversations. If you want to go there, make sure to call and reserve a table, as its pretty small. Don't miss this place - I mean it!

Small restaurant, but pretty well known in the city, right in the downtown area
We enjoyed a delicious dinner at this cute little restaurant less than half a block from the main road in Ushuaia. We enjoyed the black butter trout with a potato, a delicious milanesa with fries (fries were amazing), some tomato and lettuce salad, and a calafate bonbon! The trout was AMAZING and I would eat it everyday if I lived in Ushuaia. MUST try this place and the service was amazing too. The employees were very nice and attentive!

Tante Sara is a restaurant & bar located in the center of Ushuaia. A family restaurant, they serve great hamburgers, sandwiches, salads, as well as breakfast and delicious bakery items. This is a great stop for breakfast, lunch, tea time or dinner.
The menu was varied, food quality above average, and service was excellent. They also have internet access. Recommended by our hotel, and a good choice.Hola, muchas gracias por tomarte el tiempo de calificarnos y dejar tu comentario. Saludos! Irene

We were a group of 4 having dinner here.We got a variety of dishes containing crab rather than getting a whole crab. Overall, the food was fine, but nothing special. Prices were higher than in other parts of Argentina, but that is Ushuaia for you.Staff was friendly.

My partner and I are here for lunch before our cruise because of the close proximity to the wharf and good TripAdvisor reviews. We had the salmon and ribs. Ribs were okay, salmon was superb. Would recommend this place for the fish. Service can be rushed so not the best but we were not in a great rush so it was fine for us.Hola Maria, muchas gracias por tu calificación y comentario. Tendremos en cuenta lo que comentás para mejorar nuestro servicio. Saludos! Irene

No reservations but long lines, so go early and queue....so worth it if you are a fish/crab lover. Food terrific and great value...fresh....It is an eat and go place, not designed for a long relaxed meal, but a great experience, a fun place to eat.

After a long day upon are.return drom Antarctica and diving in the Beagel Channel we worked up a mighty appetite. We found the view to be perfection while dining. We war seated right at the windows and we ordered small courses with various wine pairings and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. This is higher end restaurant and will cost a bit. However think of it this way. You just spent probably the most money on a 2-3 week vacation..ever...does it really matter how much it costs if it is delious and your last night there? I think you know the answer.

Amazing and beautiful. We unfortunately could not eat there because our reservation was too close to our arrival in Ushuaia and we couldnât find transportation. Itâs about a two and a half hour (beautiful) drive from Ushuaia. We regret it very much but we visited them on another day. The owners were so gracious and friendly. Diana was so friendly. We had been in contact with them through WhatsApp. They showed us around their property. A lot of activities for children and gorgeous scenery for the adults to enjoy. I HIGHLY recommend this restaurant/forest for a delightful day outdoors. Thank you Puerto Pirata for your hospitality!!I hope to see you again. Querida Catherine, gracias por tu visita y por tus palabras, solo falta que vengas a hacer la experiencia con centolla, aquà te esperamos, te deseamos un buen año 2018!! Besos
