Great place to grab a meal in Hopkins. Friendly service. Kesha was very attentive to our needs. Food was good. Wanted a homemade coconut pie but you have to order them in advance. Maybe next time. Nice out door seating to see the local life in action.(Dominos)Even was able to see one of the college football bowl games while eating. Highly recommend the stewed chicken. Tender and flavorful!

We did not stay here, but came for leisurely sunset, drinks, and dinner. Drink prices for such a beautiful view through the palm trees to the ocean were very reasonable. The food was very good. We had conch soup, fish, wonderful cheese dip with special chips. The rooms all look toward the ocean. There are hammocks on the pier, but it was too windy to use them. We tried and got wet.

Vern's Kitchen has the best food on the peninsula. We offer local and international food we have service with a smile.
Whether it is chicken or fish, rice & beans you have to visit Vernâs Kitchen if you find yourself in Seine Bight Village. I love the food especially the fried jacks! Eating here can became a daily routine! Service is good, food is excellent and hospitality always available.

Several miles out of Placencia village, this is not worth the trip. The Mexican food was poor to just lousy, the service is extremely slow both for the bar and the food, and because it's located on a calm lagoon we were eaten alive while we ate. Don't bother.

Mostly a locals restaurant, and off the beaten path. Well worth searching out. We ate there 2 times in 1 week. Great local home made food.
The food here is wonderful, the atmosphere awesome...the sand fleas relentless..don't let this stop you from going there.. The food is worth it. Get food to go at night Orr go early. It's worth it

my husband and I stopped in here to ride out the rain storm. I was looking forward to my experience based on other reviews. Unfortunately, it was nothing like the pleasant experience that many of them had.Upon arrival the restaurant was not yet quite open for business. I understand that, and have patience. We had a beer sat at a table and waited. The owner, or manager not sure who talk to us about having a snack. We discussed chicken wings, or grilled shrimp. We decided to order the grilled shrimp. Silly me and it's stupid tourist mistake I did not ask how many, or how much. A bit later, our food arrived. I was surprised to see that we both were served a plate of very, very, very small shrimp served with potatoes and a small salad. Almost like an entree. Okay, there was another opportunity for me to say hey? What is this? We ordered an appetizer. But again stupid American Tourist mistake I accepted the food. It was not grilled shrimp, it was not an appetizer, and it was not very good either. When are bill came we were charged $15 / plate. Nothing we could do that at that point because we had already eaten the food. Lesson learned and move forward. But did not have a good experience on any level. We apologize for your Experience. The price of shrimp on the local market has doubled and so has the quality. We are sourcing other supply networks and we will improve on that. Please come back for a free meal... Again this is not reflective of our normal standard.

We had high hopes, because the restaurant has a beautiful refined ambience. But the food wasn't great, and the cocktails were disappointing. Also, the waiters were overwhelmed, causing slow service. I will say that we were there Christmas day, so our experience may not have been the norm. Dear MAFlyer,Our sincere apologies that your experience was not what it should have been. Indeed as it was the holidays, our team, as prepared as we believed ourselves to be, found ourselves being overwhelmed with the rush of diners without reservations. We do invite you to give us another try to truly experience our 1981 restaurant and her Belizean inspired flavors should you be in our area again! With Kindest regards,PamelaGuest Services Manager1981/Naia Resort

This is a wonderful little Hideaway in the middle of the Pelican Cayes only accessible by boat. The menu varies daily on what the sea provides. If you are lucky enough to find this mangrove island an a snorkel or fishing trip or while you are sailing thro
We spent a couple of days on our sailboat on a mooring off of Hideaway Caye. What a delightful place, and what friendly people! We could be found sitting under the palm thatch every afternoon enjoying drinks and conversation while our kids played with their daughter. We will most certainly be back when we return to Belize later this year!Thank you for the review Tanya. See you again.

Queen Bean is one of those traditional places you do not want to miss: cool beers with some Belizean music, some nice fresh fish to choose for dinner. Great place to chill out and have a great meal!!

Local family-owned restaurant specializing in fresh caught seafood and freshly prepared dishes. On the beach with cool breeze and friendly staff.
This is a very small local restaurant located right on the beach and just steps away from the ocean. There were three tables inside and several picnic tables outside. We choose to eat inside because of the wind and looming rain. 'Inside" is pretty much a screened in sandy area with a small bar (I think there might have been two bar stools). Service was provided by a young local girl who was very friendly and attentive. Most important is the food was AMAZING. I ordered the shrimp in coconut milk and my husband ordered the stuffed shrimp with stuffed potato. Both meals were very different but equally great. Here's what you need to know if your fussy about where you eat. When we arrived we were greeted by two large dogs that jumped on us. We ignored them and they immediately left us alone. At one point a toddler climbed onto the top of the table next to us and the young girl serving us quickly snatched her off the table and handed her off to a young boy who quickly took the toddler outside. Eventually the toddler made her way back into the restaurant and over to our table. A young dog wondered through while we were eating. Again we ignored the dog and it left us alone. If you want to have an authentic Hopkins Belize experience Maxim's is a MUST.
