Things to do in Sarapiqui
Enjoy the taste from Costa Rica in our restaurant. We serve many different meals from Costa Rica and fast food. Breakfast, luch, and dinner.
Accidently run into this restaurant while looking for another (probably closed). We had a lovely welcome from the staff, who was very helpful as well! Menu in Spanish and in English, with nice comfortfood on it! We had the quesedillas and the vegi burger, which was a nice, surprisingly combination with platanas on it!Muchas gracias por sus opiniones! Lo apreciamos mucho y esperamos seguirles brindando un excelente servicio
This is not a tourist town (in the middle of nowhere) so don't expect to speak English. The owner tried very hard to help use. I needed something different then Casada. So to be safe I ordered a Hamburger with Papas. My wife the usual burrito. Both very good. Also had smoothies. It was outdoors which is nice but beside the highway. Lots of 18 wheelers and in front of the restaurant was were they started to use their Jake brakes. But they were very colorful as they drove by.

Despite arriving as an important football match was reaching its conclusion we were made extremely welcome. Very little English is spoken but the menu does have a translation, the food is very reasonably priced, excellent quality and good portions. It is a very lively and at times noisy place but it was lovely to feel that we were with locals and experiencing their way of life.

We had lunch here twice while staying at nearby Selva Verde. While we are no experts at "typical" Costa Rican food, our meals were delicious! We had casados both days. The seasoning was so good on the chicken and the pork. Wow! The salads were very good. The cerviche was very good, my husband was hooked on the stuff for the rest of our trip and had it many more times at other places, but theirs was the best. The service was fast and friendly, and the place was clean and comfortable. It is a small outdoor cafe, nothing fancy, but seems a popular place with locals and tourists alike. Recommend this place for a really tasty meal , with friendly service, at very reasonable prices.

We like to experience food outside the hotel gates.I visited the restaurant in the afternoon and had a look around at day light. Very nicely located at the Sarapiqui river. This nice place is worst to experience also for lunch and than to enjoy the beauty of the surroundings. Checking out the spot and talking with my little Spanish with the people, I felt very welcome. The evening we have been visiting and the restaurant with our group of 11 people.

The staff was attentive and pleasant. At first, not sure what to expect. The food was nicely presented, the place was nothing fancy but clean. At the end, the food was very good, maybe a bit pricy. Located next to the main road (HWY 4) and no AC, at times the trucks can be a bit noisy.

We went to this place on our way to Poas following Lonely Planet recommendations. The restaurant is located close to the garden where you can see frogs and other animals. The service is polite and efficient and the food is really good. There is a wide choice including pizza, soups, meat, fajitas, salads and other dishes. I had an excellent meat and my wife and daughter also enjoyed their meals. I recommend this place and I would not hesitate to go there again.

This quaint restaurant on the side of a motorway makes the best ceviche I've had during our time in Costa Rica. All 5 of us enjoyed what we had. Make sure you make this your lunch stop on your travel day.

We've been visiting this place since it was recently opened. Since then, we have experienced it's evolution and growth and have witnessed how it is getting better every day. The place is a beautifully and cleverly decorated vintage home, which is warm and inviting. Lunch/Dinner menu doesn't have many options, instead they usually change the plates by the day, and focus instead on providing a few options, but all well-crafted and tasty, so you can't go wrong. Staff is friendly as well as the chef, who would usually come greet and ask about how are things. If you have a sweet tooth, this is the place to go for coffee or dessert, as the pastry options are world-class and delicious. Price is moderate but it is definetly worth it. They have special "events" during the weekends, for example on Fridays they would close late, have wine, sangrias, beer, pizzas, and a live pianist jazzing up the atmosphere. On weekends you can also go for breakfast/brunch there and also be delighted by french toast, pancakes or just traditional gallo pinto or omellettes. We like this place so much that we usually bring our friends to eat here whenever we can. Make sure you add them on Instagram to find out the dailiy options of food and pastry!
