This is a little tiny restaurant. We sat at one of two tables outside on the sidewalk for breakfast. It was YUMMY! We had the typical Costa Rican breakfast and it was super fresh, well prepared and tasted so good. Service was fantastic! Highly recommend as a breakfast stop when in Jaco!

Visited GPS twice for lunch. Had the Arroz con Pollo both visits, as it was the best in Playa Hermosa. Also sampled the nachos, which were quite tasty. My dad really enjoyed the tuna sandwich. While the view isn't great (the restaurant is off the beach by about a block and a half), the atmosphere is quite pleasant.

This eating establishment was actually called Tiki Bar or Breakers Sports Bar. No matter what it's called, it is located on the beach at Jaco Laguna Resort.We ate her twice during our stay as it is a great place to be able to dine and watch the sunset. There is some bar seating and the rest of the seating are tables on the lawn with concrete tables covered by tiki hut style umbrellas.We ate here twice. The first night we started with one server for all of the tables and he had a hard time keeping up before others showed up to help. The second time there was more staff when we arrived. Both meals I ordered were excellent - coconut shrimp and tiki tacos which were mahi mahi tacos. My wife had stuffed chicken with mashed potatoes and vegetables and a hamburger. She thought both were very good. Other items that had been ordered by our group were mango shrimp and sea bass which were also good. Would recommend eating here.

If you travel up and down Rt. 34 between Hermosa and Esterillos, you will pass this place on the coastal side of the highway. It was recommended by a local after we got food poisoning at a more tourist oriented place on Hermosa.The food is great and the "casados" (typical meal served with rice & beans) are a great meal at a great price. We tried the fish, the chicken and the 'chuletas' (pork chops) and they were all great. A good sized meal for about $6. This is where the locals eat, but the food is great, the service friendly, and they take US currency. We fed 6 people with a few drinks for $40.

Never knew it was open for non-hotel guests but thank god itâs not!Food is really good, and their menu has it all from snacks to main courses and themed nights like Asian Wednesday.The staff is really accommodating and I cannot even just name one. Roy, Erick, Fabian & Alvaro and the all cooks do their best. The manager Marianela does an amazing job with keeping the wheels turning.And as a plus, you have a view to unforgettable sunsets!

We where wondering around Jaco where to go and we went to the best locals night in town the music with the DJ Carlos Sánchez, the bocas menú, the friendly atmosphere the people the service, it was something I will highly recommend the owners where there making sure that we all have a good time in their bar.To make the long story short...it was great fun.

We ate at Bosque Del Mar for dinner on Jan 25, 2016. The location is the most attractive dining spot on Playa Hermosa since you sit in an open air restaurant with clean tiled floor and linen on the tables, yet right beside the beach and sand with full ocean and sunset views.Everything about our experience was first rate, from the clean attractive atmosphere to the attentive service and simply delicious food. We were a group of four adults dining together. I started with an avocado and shrimp salad - wow - so fresh and delicious. I then had the ahi tuna entree which the kitchen prepared with sesame seeds since I asked for this addition. The tuna was absolutely delicious. All four of us ordered different meals and everyone enjoyed every bite. We would rank this restaurant as #1 on the beach.Playa Hermosa is an extraordinary location. Our group of four travel extensively and have visited many beach destinations. Playa Hermosa is a stretch of beach about one mile long and shared between local residents and tourists alike. The beach never got crowded and even fewer people seem to use the southern end so if you want tranquility, you will find it here. We were fortunate to find a condo unit to rent that stepped right onto the beach (Sol Y Mar). There are at least 4-5 very good restaurants and bars right along the beach front which allows you to take a very pleasant walk along a gorgeous beach to your dining destination. This aspect of Playa Hermosa made it one of the most memorable experiences of our week in Costa Rica. No worry about having a few drinks at dinner when you can simply follow the stars home!

the food is fair priced and good They always have something different I stay here when I come to Jaco breakfast are good and the variety they have pleases everytbodys taste buds. For Thanks giving they had turkey dinner. A lot of the guest eat theprice are good for backpackers

Pizza Bocho had good pizza and a nice outdoor atmosphere. Made the mistake of asking for extra chees, don't make the same error. Flavor of toppings was lost in way too much cheese. The cheese was really good, just too much. Loved the thin crust. Very friendly and English speaking.

Vista Hermosa Restaurant looks like any other restaurant for from the road; however when you walk inside you get spectacular views in a great, bar / restaurant setting. We had a selection of dips with tortillas and for mains, I had a FABULOUS shrimp with rice. The Pina Colada was superb and the choice of beers were amazing. The tuna (my husband's choice) was the most amazing cut of Tuna I've ever seen. The flavour was just utter freshness. Service was excellent and as mentioned, the views were just what any beach lover needs to cure the soul. Highly recommended - I don't usually do restaurant reviews (mostly only hotels) however Vista Hermosa Restaurant deserves a mention. If you are passing between Manuel Antonio and the airport or the Arenal area, it's a very convenient stop off.
