Things to do in Paracas

We thought that we were travelling to Pisco until we turned off the highway and parked in Paracas. Some consternation all round but little point in wasting time returning to the ship to resolve. Took a stroll down the sea-front boulevard, Juan Pablo was the only restaurant that was open at the time so stopped for coffee. Friendly service, nice hot coffees, great views over the beach area and the passing promenade. Recommended.
We arrived early on a Sunday. I was in the mood for octopus. There were only 3 more tables occupied and the octopus was gone :( I then ordered âconchitas a la parmesanaâ. They were very good!! La chicha morada was too sweet for my taste. Our waitress was very nice when we arrived but when people started to arrive, it was hard to find her and she never approached our table again. I think they need more waiters. I also ordered fish and it took more than 30 minutes to come! I think she just forgot and never said anything. The view is amazing though and peaceful.
Pastas, hamburguesas, ensaladas, pizzas, comida peruana, vegetariana, playa y rock del ayer, ahora y siempre. pasta, burgers, salads, pizzas, peruvian food, veggie food, beach, and all the rock and roll you can endure.
My family and I loved this little cafe - great and very reasonably priced fresh food. We had breakfast and lunch Al- huge Se vinos!! Be warned. Especially at breakfast, but no problem they will wrap it to go. The vibe and music is cool and the staff speak some English which was great for us. Thumbs up!

We visited this seafood restaurant during our staying to Paracas. The restaurant was 5 minutes walk away from our hotel. We decided to have a seat outside but unfortunately we found out that the seats and tables were not clean - probably because of the winds that would blow dust all over the place. We asked for the menu and came across a fairly wide range of dishes, mainly "mariscos". The portions were fair - we ordered seafood with rice and potatos with trumpfish. The staff would always respond in Spanish although we communicated in English. When we asked to have a look at the fish, they were negative and did not allow entrance in their kitchen. We tasted the pure pisco drink - in Spanish - "pisco puro" (not the coctail) and really enjoyed it. The prices were average to cheap in relation to the portions that were served. The restaurant seems to be less touristic combined to the others located by the ocean.
Where to eat American food in Paracas: The Best Restaurants and Bars
The restaurant has a very interesting menu with many excellent dishes. We loved the variety and the flavors and the desserts were really delicious. We also discovered the most amazing seashell collection inside the restaurant and that alone is worht a visit. Prices are on the high end but we foud the experience to be worth it.

Welcome to "The Hide-Out" Grill. We are a "tiki" style "American/Peruvian" kinda place in downtown Paracas, PERU...Just steps from the southern pacific shoreline and Bay of Paracas. We serve breakfast, lunch, & dinner everyday. We have an American/Peruvia
We LOVED the hide out grill at Kokopelli. No qualms about it, the food was fantastic and we left the Hotel Paracas two nights in a row to walk down the street to eat at Kokopelli. We had the Quesadilla, the Paw Graw Paw, and the hamburger and all three meals were fantastic! Particularly the paw graw paw...No extra frills, or white table cloths, just fantastic food for an amazingly reasonable price! Not often do you find a better restaurant in a hostel than a five star hotel down the street, but Kokopelli does not disappoint! Some of our favorite food in all of Peru, with a great little bar attached and visited by many worldly travelers. CASH ONLY!
In kaypi you find the best local seafood along with the best cocktails and coffee in the area
The waitress was kind and helpful, and the food was really great!! The chicken dish was awesome, and the fish too! Also the drinks were really good. And it's not expensive at all!! Definitely recommended

I can't recommend Sumac enough! Their menu caters for all, from freshly caught seafood cooked Infront of you on a coal BBQ to soups and stir-fry suitable for all budgets (we are backpacking, so we hunted to find something affordable yet tasty)Awesome strong cocktails too.

Go the Conchas, Calamar, or crayfish. Actually the crays were more like crawbobs or yabbies, battered and deep fried. Ok, maybe even traditional, but a little more imagination wouldn't hurt.Try them if you like, I would rather recommend the scallops and squid. Not the cheapest place to eat but still a nice place on the esplanade.

We stopped here our first evening at the hotel and it didnt disappoint. We didnt have high expectations because who knows what Peruvian Italian food is like. This place was delicious. The server was really friendly, and made sure everything was good. The panzotti was delicious! Overall it was a great meal!Dear DaisyDot24,How kind of you to take a moment to provide such a positive review of your recent visit to La Trattoria. We feel happy to know that you had a great a experience with us enjoying so much your panzotti. We also have two different Restaurantes in Hotel Paracas that you must visit: Ballestas Restaurant (Peruvian dishes) and Chalana at the end of the pier where we serve tiraditos, ceviches, causas and chalaca, prepare with fresh fish.We hope you will have the opportunity to visit us again.Kind regards, Esteban KohnF&B Manager
