I visited during Carnival, so I do not know if the server usually dresses in local garb, but she did that day. It was fantastic coffee, and the chocolate was even better. It's all locally sourced and made chocolate and coffee, and you can taste the freshness. It was fantastic. Highly recommended.Hello ,Thank you very much for visiting Ecuador - Otavalo to MUYU coffee and chocoalte shop always welcome Always showing how our culture and our dress and traditions are.
This place has a great atmosphere from the moment you walk by it on the sidewalk. Soothing garden at the entry and either indoor or alfresco seating. A wonderful old building with delicious, artistic meals served by a very proper waiter in a tux. Meals are very affordable with Almuerzo specials for $4 each, including a fun and well presented appetizer, followed by soup of the day. Then a far above average entré with fresh fruit juice and then a delectable pastry dessert. Our waiter was friendly but very proper. This place is not to be missed on any visit to Otavalo!
Coming here on a Saturday expected that you will be walking between the others. Saturday is the biggest market in Otavalo and also the busiest day. The market is not only for tourist, a lot of locals are coming for shopping. The first thing you'll see is the fruit market and vegetables if you want to skipped these, keep on walking to the handicrafts. The local people were mostly coming for foods, while the tourist are coming for artisan. Anyway, is very fun wandering around, not only to see handicrafts the whole markets are nice.Street stalls in Ovalo market is occupied by native vendors, not only you see behind their stalls is also fun to watch them chatting with others. There are so much to buy in the market, we would like to buy everything, but we were thinking that we only have a small luggage. We can only admire some stuff and good to knows that they're available in the market. The same as the rest if you want to buy a souvenirs you must bargain the price. For fruits and food is already very cheap, so no haggle

I went with a cousin to eat at the place, we were highly recommended this restaurant for its delicious food, the decor of the place is superb, beautiful, tasteful. In addition it has a very calm and pleasant atmosphere, all very well ordered and clean. The attention is very good and meticulous. This restaurant offers good dining options with a wide variety of grains and different sauces, their prices are very reasonable compared to their quality. The business model seems to me excellent and very different from what is commonly seen as it is a very different and rich flavor to the other restaurants of the place. It is appreciated that the grains that are used to elaborate their portions are very fresh, also their sauces are very rich by their variation of flavor in each one of them. The staff that takes care of the place is very agile and very friendly with all its customers. It is a nice place to enjoy delicious choclitos, its attention is very fast and excellent service, is perfect to escape from the daily routine, to spend good moments with family, friends or to go alone. It is ideal to enjoy a conversation with friends, the place is very respectable as they spread the products of the sierra area of ââthe equator, especially the products of Otavalo. The staff on entering and leaving the place express a smile, you can rest for a while and have a good time. It is certainly one of the best places in Otavalo, it is highly recommended the place for its unique flavor and prices ranging from 1 to 5 dollars, although the restaurant is not very spacious and on different days there are many people but worth the Worth waiting for eat.thank you very much for visiting us, we hope you have been satisfied with our service and our food, we hope to return soon. We send a strong hug

A local bar with lots of 20 somethings getting ready to go out for the night! Nice drinks, fun atmosphere.
A family-run small restaurant that offers popular Colombian dish. Very helpful staff that can always help you to get through specifics of Colombian cuisine.Prices are very reasonable given the fact that the restaurant is located in the heart of Otavalo on Plaza del Ponchos. The food is very delicious .

Great food, reasonable price!
Everything we had was nicely presented yet overcooked and or cold. Pork on Plato tipico was cooked to table shaking toughness. It honestly seemed left over from previous day and rewarmed. Mashed potato cakes which are delicious when hot I'm told, were stone cold. Cheese soup reported as excellent however. Clean attractive place for tours groups no doubt, but Zero effort to make food do anything more than look nice when set before you.

During my 5 day stay in Otavalo last March I had dinner here on a number of occasions. This place has atmosphere !!! I want to pay tribute to Marco who served me each evening-a very friendly and professional person....The food was excellent and served promptly. As this restaurant is centrally located-near Plaza Bolivar and a short distance from Plaza de Ponchos-it is well worth a visit....Only problem is that it closes-as expected-at 4 pm on Sundays....great place to eat at....10 out of 10.

Outside of Otavalo, Hacienda Pinsaqui is a lovely 18th-century manor house. It is a hotel and restaurant, which typically serves open dinners and lunches by appointment. The food is very good, especially the local pork platter. The prices are a bit high, since they exclusively cater to tourists. However, we were never disappointed with a meal here during our stay in the hotel. The bar is amazing too, one of the coolest that I've ever seen. I strongly recommend visiting!

Part of the Hacienda Cusin in Otavalo
We visited this amazing hacienda for breakfast on Monday. Not only was the food amazing, the property is breathtaking! Walking into the main building is like stepping back 100 years in time! We spent over two hours here! We enjoyed well prepared scrambled eggs, toast, bacon and pancakes. The homemade strawberry jam is not to be missed! Pricing is extremely reasonable for the amount of food you receive. We met the owner, Nick whom is quite entertaining! We could have chatted with him all day!!We spent a good amount of time exploring the grounds after our meal, which I highly reccomend. The gardens are intoxicating! They even have llamas on the grounds! You'll most assuradly want to plan on at least two hours visiting Hacienda Cusin for dining and exploring...NOT to be missed!
