Not many La Paloma restaurants are open during the off-season, But La Ballena would be a good choice at any time of the year, no matter what the competition! We enjoyed friendly, efficient service, excellent grilled fish, a great house salad, and reasonable prices here. The restaurant was pleasantly crowded with locals and just a few tourists on a Saturday night.
Wonderful discovery. Great selections available from the menu to suit all tastes and truly excellent execution with well prepared quality ingredients yielding a very satisfying delicious evening of food, wine and ambience. Not only was the food and service excellent but it was overall great value as well. I'll be sure to drop in again when ever in the area. Many thanks to our host.

Arrecife is a very warm & friendly place to just stop in for a drink or a full meal! In the evenings after 8:30-9pm they will have the parrilla fires burning making the atmosphere friendly especially on a cool evening. The service is very friendly & accommodating. The food & drinks are consistently good. We love their burgers.

It was late for lunch and "Muzza camarones" was an inviting name. We didn't know,it was a pizza. In the back,an amazing garden and a parrillero very efficient, grilling the meat and doing the pizza, the old way,and dancing,in the meantime. It was a wonderfulle experience, fresh veggies, good meat and the muzza camarones, so delicious. We had to push ourselves out of the place, because it was a so nice lunch that we will just stay there the rest of the afternoon.

The food was quite well prepared and not expensive, but the service was not brilliant. The washrooms had no towels or blow driers and they do not accept Mastercard, only Visa. We would not go there again.
Over my four days in La Paloma I visited Upa La La three times for meals. It was easy to return because the wait staff was very friendly and provided quality service. I asked if they served a good fish dish and Matias assured me he did. It was exactly what I was looking for that evening. Each time I returned I felt even more welcomed. Even though I moved a few kilometers away I returned for more delicious food. And they always serve a peanut mixture snack while you have a drink while your meal is being prepared.I only wish I had Matiasâs email address as I am not on FB.

We came to the restaurant for a light meal, although they have other more elaborated dishes, We ate some "empanadas" with meat and with cheese and onion, made with puff pastry that taste very good, and a grilled ham and cheese sandwich, a common snack in Uruguay and Argentina, which was well done, not too dry or too oily. The prices were very affordable and the service was fine. Certainly a good place to have a meal.

This is a must visit place if you enjoy quality food in a relaxed, cozy beach atmosphere, and of course expect good value for your money.Dishes are clever, tasty, fresh and well presented in an attractive manner. Size of servings is generous as well.Local typical ingredients are found with an interesting and contemporary twist.Drinks are also very well made and fresh. You can take a dip in the swimming pool during your stay at the restaurant, so it makes it a different, appealing option for warm weather and particularly during the daytime (note that the pool cannot be used between 14:00 to 16:00, so that the hotel guests facing the pool can have a quite rest).Deserts are also worth trying.Facilities are in the open air, under a neat typical Straw and log roof structure, facing the garden and swimming pool, so I would recommend your visiting the place in fine weather and avoid wet or cool days. All in all, I think it´s the best restaurant you can find nowadays in La Paloma.
