Warm corner where you can enjoy a good coffee like other hot drinks, meals and desserts to taste and the best Peruvian style
I went in here as my Colombian friend saw they served Arepa (Corn bread with ham and cheese). They also gave him a magic chicken salad on the side and a tea, for a price that was so competitive, I can't get my head around it! The tour later tried to take us to a a tourist restaurant which was horrid and expensive, so we left and went back here. Though not on the menu, they accommodated me and I got a vegan version for the same price. My mate got a massive Chocolate Chip cookie and another tea. The service was fast and efficient, and the staff superb! The food was all cooked and made fresh and was delicious! And it is a 5 minute walk from the main square. Highly recommend!
The business concept is to provide food, drinks and art services to tourists, who seek culture, valuing the authenticity and originality of dances, legends, music, poetry, representative and significant of the town. Offering the greatest comfort for custo
A great array of peruvian food, it was delecious. Be careful when spooning on the ceviche though it is very hot. Small is good. Buffet style so you could eat as many different dishes as you liked. Plenty of fresh fruit and local desserts, some though seem to be a bit sour mily, choose the other type of desserts. 25 soles. You can´t get better value than that.

This is one of those places that the tourists are herded into for a meal and this one was superb. There was a smorgasborg of food that covered everyoneâs culinary needs. Meat, chicken, fish, vegetables, fruit, bread, sauces, cakes, jelly, pisco sour, coffee and more. Iâm not sure what it cost because it was part of the tour but whatever it was, it was worth it. Service was fast and the food was laid out well and topped up as items were eaten.Toilets were clean. No wifi â well at least not that we could use.

I went to that restaurant which looked ok. Is a buffete so I could have tried different things. Some of the options included alpaca meat, quinua and some slices of pizza.Well, the juice I ordered, because drinks are not included, wasn't really good, then I saw a client claiming beacuse of something he found in the food.In the restaurant says Free Wi-Fi, when I wanted to connect they told me that I had to go to one of the corners to have conecction.

We ate supper there in May 2018 and attended the dinner show. The Quinoa soup with vegetables was fantastic as was the Grilled alpaca main course. The show was entertaining and portrayed peruvian local dress and dance.

Good food
We really enjoyed lunch here away from the tourist crowds having buffets at some of the other restaurants. Freshly cooked with laughter. Had chicken, steak and trout and all was perfectly cooked and tasty. Just what we needed after the drive from Arequipa.

Chivay has quite a few restaurants geared towards tourists at the plaza (think high prices and lots of selections) and we chose Cabanas because it was empty, looked warm, and had a TV that was showing the Peru soccer game. The staff was helpful with the menu (explaining what came with what dishes) and were patient while we decided on what to order. I settled on the Carbonara pasta, and my husband got the Lomo Saltado with alpaca. We both enjoyed our food, and the quantity was huge! The pasta had ham and lots of red onions... too many for my taste. Dinner for two was 34 soles, plus a tip. While it wasn't the best meal I've ever had, I would recommend Cabanas for other tourists to Chivay.
You can enjoy a varied breakfast buffet, as well as a varied menu for lunch and dinner. This restaurant has a pizza oven and a barbecue area. Breakfast: 5:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. / Lunch and Dinner: 11:00 a.m. to 21:00 p.m
If you would like to taste great Cordero or Alpac or T bone meat prepared in the right way with excellent rice or crispy fried patatas then this is the place in town. But especially the attentive and pro active staff make your stay even better. Compliments for Gabriella! Such a nice person, smart and obliging, would love to take you with me.

Our tour bus stopped here for lunch. The buffet was 30 soles and selection was quite decent - wide variety of soups, salads, vegetables, chicken, alpaca, fish desserts. I particularly liked the quinoa soup, the hearty lentil soup (with potatoes and lamb meat) , and the trout. The desserts were also quite good. Tried a typical Peruvian Catcus friut and it was delicious. They accept Mastercard which was an additional plus for us.
