Ice cream rolls , fillings chopped in front of you. Practice your French....the guy here was a chop expert, not really my thing but the kids liked their ice creams and the price was ok.

I went through the (easy) hassle of joining TripAdvisor just to rave about this restaurant. We have been in Tamarindo for a week, eating everywhere, and gave El Pelicano a try because (a) it just looked nice, and (b) well, it looked nice, haha! The three of us were very glad we did. My son (15 yrs old) got adventurous and tried Seabass for the first time and loved it. Two of us split a steak and chicken dish and both were delicious!!! Oh, we started with a sushi appetizer that was great too. The sauces were wonderful for the entres.Out waiter was Kevin, who was incredibly nice and attentive. We have found almost everyone in Costa Rica is really enjoyable, and obviously that was the case at El Pelicano. Ironically, we walked by the restaurant a couple days before and told the host, Santos, that we would be back in two days and it was pretty funny that he remembered us when we walked by tonight. Really nice guy too! The restaurant is a little pricier than others in town, but we all thought it was well worth it!!!! I think we'll go back on Sunday before we leave :)

Lady and her assistant served 10 of us a multi-course authentic Costa Rican meal in our villa, with all of the trimmings. Our contact with Lady started with a detailed set of options that we could choose from. She was readily available to consult before we settled on the final menu for our evening meal.She arrived on time with all that she needed to prepare our dinner and it was past of the treat to watch her work. She delights in telling you what she is preparing and how it is prepared. Everything was fresh and prepared on-siteThe dinner she served would have served twice the number and in fact we had 15 more taste and varied meals from the leftovers. The price started out very reasonable compared to dining out in Tamarindo , but when you included the entertainment value she provided that night AND the fact that we got so may more meals from what she had prepared, it became a real bargain. When she left, everything had been packaged for the frig and the kitchen might have been even cleaner than when she arrived.

Suggest the special which is allot of shareable seafood. Lobster , sea bass shrimp, calamari enough for three people. Oscar was our waiter and was very attentive and our meal was tasty on time. free ride to from the westin if you don't want to walk over. the beach road has a stream running thru it in one spot. try the special drinks. soon good.

This adorable little restaurant is serving up some big flavors in these homemade artisan style burgers. But there are more than just hamburgers. The menu includes vegetarian fare, chicken and fish burgers, sandwiches, wraps, nachos and salads. Best of all, they are served combo style with chips, French fries or yucca fries and a choice of natural juices. Try the pineapple- basil juice! The restaurant has an amazing view. It has air conditioning and terraza areas, so you can feel confortable in any temperature. I really enjoy going here for breakfast. The food presentation invites you to try, so be careful, it is better to come here thinking that you will try many different food options. Also I like to go there any time it has Brunch specials. The food quality totally worth the value of what you pay. One big note, the deserts are incredibly, I feel guilt free when I have tried many of them.

The staff are friendly, the ceviche is delicious and the full bar can't be beat. As the place falls apart - the view of the ocean is incredible. Our kids (two girls) found stuff on the menu they liked, we had the ceviche, the guac and chips and a few drinks. Bring cash - no cc accepted - prices are reasonable and the view can't be beat!

Off beaten path in playa brasilito. A small fantastic restaurant right on the beach. Very inviting and welcoming staffs and food is just tasty! Watch sunset and eat nice hearty meals and chatting away with a chef and staffs. You just wanna go back and hang out with them again and again. Really nice vibe and local environment. Steaks and appetizers r awesome.Family,couple or Solo... perfect chilling place
