Wa-wa stores are reliable quick stops for many things including speedy shopping for some everyday essentials. The computerized system at the counter allows you to customized your sandwich or lunch meat order and go on browsing or shopping while your food is being prepared. The service is most often quick but that is volume dependent. Wa-wa is proud to be -to a degree - a Starbucks competition for plain or fancy cup of coffee. Great place to stop for a bite on the go.

My husband and I ordered takeout online and it was ready promptly! I had the Beef Noodle Soup with Chicken, and it was delicious! The chicken was fresh, tender, and juicy. The noodles and toppings were packaged separately, and the broth was in a large container...almost a full quart! My husband had the Vermicelli Noodle with Grilled Chicken. It was a large portion and he enjoyed it. We canât wait to try more things on the menu! Also, the owners are very kind! That always makes a difference!

We arrived early on Monday at 11:30 for lunch. Front of place sells seafood & no one in there or supervising. Quick hands could have relieved them of some crab legs Took time to find someone who was working but finally a woman emerged who was our waitress. She was very pleasant. Maybe they just aren't used to such early guests and I hope we just caught them unprepared. The soup special of lobster bisque was served lukewarm & thick as pudding. Oysters Rockefeller were dreadful! Cheese (not hollandaise) was baked & hard on I guess over an oyster ( couldn't taste or tell) that had trace of onion, spinach & not fully cooked bacon underneath. Place was empty & cold which may explain why the food cooled considerably before making it to our table. Fried combo platter wasn't that good either. My husband got the only edible thing, chicken wings & fries. Which was literally fried chicken wings ( no sauce) & fries. At least they gave us a bottle of hot sauce. Bloody Mary was good . Will never return!!!!!

Once called "the most genteel tavern in America" by John Adams and the first unofficial "White House," Chef Walter Staib's City Tavern has boasted the finest celebrations since 1773. With over 230 years of hospitality, City Tavern has been the centerpiece
Everyone has already remarked on the atmosphere, so I'll spare you. The food was very good - we had the pork loin medallions. Bread was interesting, but I wouldn't buy a loaf on purpose. If I had to pay full price I would have felt ripped off, but we had a 1/2 off coupon that you can get at the Independence Visitor's Center. Minimum $20 for an entree for lunch is a little rich for my blood. I guess we didn't look rich, either, because we felt like we were tolerated by the staff, not welcomed. It was an experience but we won't be back. Be sure to get the coupon!!

I eat ramen whenever I can and am picky. I know good ramen from ramen great is nothing more than instant noodle trying to be disguised as ramen. The miso ramen was delicious. I didnât want it to end. The portion size was perfect with the exact combination of broth, noodle, vegetables, and of course pork. The steamed gyoza was also very good. I wouldnât say it was the best I had ever had but they were good. The staff was friendly and efficient. If you are looking for great Ramen in Chinatown this is the place to visit.
