If you are visiting Villa dâEste, this is a fine place for lunch. The atmosphere and decor are charming, including the pretty espresso cups. The menu is another traditional one. Also, there is a wonderful tuna salad, quite large, with many good additions.

We were on a tour of the Villas in Tivoli and given an hour to find lunch. This place is near Villa d'Este, the waiter was welcoming as we passed by and proved to be very helpful in assisting us to understand the menu.The food was very good and reasonably priced. We had an excellent lunch with helpful, friendly service.

Having spent nearly a week of late evenings in Tivoli we kept having to return to what has to be the best, by quite a long way. This is not an easy task as Tivoli has a surprising supply of excellent quality restaurants. Upon each visit I tried something different from the menu, each occasion met with a quality dish. The portions being on the large side. This made life a little difficult, as having tasted the tiramisu, I was not about to miss out on the home made marvel.The chefs can only be described as masters of their craft. The head chef obviously asking for only the best.Service was always prompt and friendly with Marlow our attentive on hand linguistic, attending to all our needs.It is sometimes too easy to use a review for defining failings in a restaurant, so it is wonderful to finally use a forum to give praise where it is due.On our last night we were treated to something special. The owners daughter had a special birthday and all present became part of the family. A true honour.Many thanks for the wonderful hospitality we were shown by all.We look forward to returning and having our taste buds tantalised once more.
