Find out what Soups restaurants to try in Taichung. Among its many tourist attractions, Taichung offers a downtown shopping experience similar to that of Tokyo or Manhattan, a bustling nightlife, and a cuisine to please even the pickiest palate. Travelers come to this city to feast their eyes on the temples, markets, parks, and museums. Touring families often visit the Taichung National Museum of Natural Science to marvel over the exhibits or the Feng Chia night market to purchase local goods. But perhaps what Taichung is known for the most is Bubble tea, the most famous beverage in the region.

The soup dumplings are insanely delicious, especially the more unusual silk melon/shrimp ones. The NT70 appetizer made with tofu strips, seaweed, bean sprouts, and glass noodles is fabulous and a-must-order dish, and the Suan La Tang (Sour and Spicy Soup) made with bamboo slivers, tree mushroom slices, bean curd strips, and carrot shreds is one of the best I've ever eaten. Always a truly magnificent experience!

Vegans and vegetarians can rejoice in having a fancy option for hot pot dinner, but you do have to call head to get a vegan broth. The dishes are ordered one at a time.

So, the food here is amazing. As a westerner turned onto hot pot recently, I am obsessed with trying new hot pot restaurants. The problem was the lack of respect, and complete disregard of normal service industry communication. No one told us about the hour and a half limit. NO ONE. My boyfriend and I were having a great date night, with hot pot and a bottle of Sake. We had finished our meal, and had a bit more Sake to finish up before we headed out. A waiter comes over, tells us that our time is up and that we need to leave. What?! If that's your house rule, you should probably tell your customers at the beginning of their meal. NOT at the end, making them feel rushed and disrespected. I am a server/bartender. I would never ever ever do this. I can't even fathom it. We called the next day to talk to a manager. Apparently there was a reservation waiting for the table. Funny thing is, there were many open tables and no one waiting in the lobby for a seat when we were rushed out. I will never go back here, and will do my best to deter people from eating at this rude establishment.

The food and service were great before. My experience today was not. There were no facial expression on the face of inner service man, especially those behind kitchen. They simply did what you ask/request without giving you any notification or response back. The food is ok for today~
