The queue outside the day before told us we had to fit this place in. Excellent choice of pastries - would recommend the almond & raspberry one! My son couldnât finish his French toast so I sampled it too. Very tasty but filling. Good service and friendly girls.

My family, friends and I always enjoy eating here. They offer great sandwiches, salads and soups with fast and friendly service. Their ingredients are always fresh and the food is nicely prepared. Vegetarian and vegan options are available. On this most recent visit three of us had the Cilantro Chicken Salad with chipotle ranch dressing. It was exactly what we wanted. The chicken was very nicely flavored. Just the right amount, too. We will return!

Yuck...brine!...the simply tragic "Chicken Vege Noodle Soup" tasted like what I imagined the Salt level of the Salton Sea would taste, but less briney thanthe Salt Lake in Carrizo National Park. Please note that thisis my second time eating here & neither the owner, nor theRotisserie was apparently in action...only some cluelessyoungsters. Now for the details on this soup....It was so salty that it was getting to be inedible as I ate it.While Brine Shrimp could be pleased, I was far from it.It was likely on par with some of the worst canned soupsthat I have only tasted....only far more pricey. It was $7.50for a so-called medium bowl...which was small. While it was impressive that this brine was taken outof a pricey cast iron pot, it was not obvious that thiswas "homemade".This brine had small amounts of stuff swimming it, as follows:1) A few hard tough chewy over-cooked chickenchunks that were horrid. While they were largerthan canned, they were somehow even worse, sincethey were so chewy. With the overpowering saltytaste, these were bland. Obvious homogeneouscuts that looked rather "industrial" & not homemade.2) A few pieces of over-cooked limp Veggies. Whilethe few pieces of carrot were acceptable, the fewpieces of other veggies were limp & you could onlytaste salt.3) A few pieces of decent potato wherewelcomed, but that is a sad highlight of this brine.4) Spices. While there were some flakes of obvious spice floating in the brine, the extremelysaline brine overwhelmed whatever flavorwas imparted.5) As I noted before, the brine could not reallybe called a broth, since it was basically inedibleby itself. Despite paying top dollar for this,I left it to be thrown out.6) Pasta. A very few pieces of non-descipt Pasta.Far less than what a proper Chicken Noodlesoup should contain. While I was craving a traditional chicken soup afterhaving a rather disappoint Gyro across the way, thiswas a huge disappointment. Its was a waste ofmy time & money. I have eaten their foods, I think a few times since theyhave opened, and now I think that this placehas gone to...theBRINE SHRIMP in this case.Sadly, this place has seemed to gone the wayof so many downtown SLO places that servemostly students or tourists, and now serveover-priced poorly made food that carriesa "homemade" label, but would not be welcomedin my home.So yes, yet another over-hyped rip-off...butwhat else is new? While it is surprisingly hard to find at least OK soup that is about $10 a quart in this area, youcan find far better soup at the local Lassen'sSupermarket.I have tried some of their other offerings in thepast, but did not find them up to the level forme to return, unless I happened to walk by.This stuff was simplybriney over-priced only partially edible garbage.Simply tragically horrible stuff thatis delightfully served to you out ofa fancy cast iron pot. The serverwas annoying cheerful & apparentlyclueless. Sadly, they do not have culinarygenius's at this "Provision Place".
