We enjoyed dinner here, having chosen one of the tasting menus - the seafood one. Each course, together with the complimentary appetiser at the beginning and petit fours with limoncello at the end, was delicious. The dishes were also beautifully prepared and presented and the suggested wine was excellent.Service is both friendly and efficient and the room has a pleasant ambienceThe restaurant is quite small and booking would be advisable. This is not cheap - tasting menu â¬60, wine â¬28 - but does, I believe, offer value for money.

Located at the Presolana mountain pass (Bergamo), amazing landscape, great regional tradition food in a warm very friendly place. Bikers and tourists can enjoy a top quality food by stopping at Cesira (reservation during weekends). The owners have been in the business for long and continue to offer same top standards of meals by using the best raw materials ever and love. The dining room is something amazing with big fireplace and open space kitchen, also big windows allows a full view of the mountains around. Food is well prepared by Dario Soldo and his team and anything on menu is worth tasting. From traditional Casoncelli to homemade pasta with porcini mushrooms. Fresh fish (Bergamo nearby is a big hub for fresh fish mkt) and great cut of meat coming form Piedmont are a must as a main course. Desserts are home made, my best choice is cheese cake. Wine and spirits list is well assorted, with super names too. Price is what you pay...value what you get. And you surely get it!

He Trattoria Visconti is a house with an intimate and family atmosphere, in the old centre of Ambivere, a small village just a few kilometres from Bergamo. The Visconti family has run it for three generations, attentive to the evolutions of the tastes and
I bought the new Slowfood Osterie d'Italia guide and we finally decided to check this restaurant out as it has been listed in the guide since 2003. We haven't been disappointed! You can choose à la carte or one of 3 different menus, one at ⬠39 with freshwater fish, one at ⬠32 and at ⬠42 the Menu dei prodotti dei Presidi. We choose the last one as raw materials are sourced from Slowfood Presidia, local projects that work to improve the infrastructure of artisan food production. We enjoyed, after a tasty appetizer, Culaccia (Prosciutto crude dolce di langhirano), Cannelloni al nero di Bracca, Tartare di manzo al nero di Bracco and semifreddo al pistachio di Bronte. Everything was simply delicious. We drank an excellent 2008 Albareda Sfursat for ⬠28. The Trattoria was fully booked but quiet and calm anyway. Don't miss this place if you are in Lombardia!

I wanted to try this acclaimed restaurant from quite some time. Today finally I had the opportunity to go with my auntie. When we arrived we were greeted from a parking attendant, we noticed there was a wedding so we asked if the restaurant was still open and we received instructions to go to park inside then walk through the door and take the first set of stairs and we would have found the restaurant at the first floor. It took quite some time to park and walk through the patio where the wedding ceremony was taking place and once we arrived upstairs....we just got told, "sorry but we cannot accommodate you today" without any further explanation. I am not only disappointed, I am also quite upset. This is not correct, we should have been told by the parking attendant and actually there should have been a reservation sign at the door. I had checked the website before going, which clearly stated that it was open for business from 12:30 to 14:30. So I cannot comment on the food and I never will as I won't go back.Sometimes service and politeness offered is more important then the food you cook. So I suggest you keep the chef that apparently is great and change the manager!

This restaurant was a real find. It is worth going for the charismatic and entertaining maitre'd alone! The food was superb - we let the maitre'd do the recommending and went with the veal which was excellent. They even knocked â¬8 off the bill. It was a very pleasant experience overall.

We popped into Il Coccio before our flight home and we stunned at the quality of the food! Very different to what we have had during our trip around Italy and it was lush home cooking with different spins on some classic dishes! Highly recommend you jump in if you are in Bergamo!!
