We enjoyed the recommendation of local wine and foods from a very kind waitress who lavished attention on our young children. She brought them lots of freshly baked bread and recommended a great gelateria for later. We sat outside on a lovely patio and enjoyed our meal very much. The boar tagliatelle was amazing!

We visited this mountain restaurant whilst Skiing and found the warmest welcome with nothing being too much trouble. The food was of a very high quality without the usual massive mark up found in many mountain restaurants. My Italian is very limited but their English was very good (as was the German French and even a little Norwegian). Very pleasant seating area and if you just wanted a drink there was a bar downstairs. A huge choice of food cooked to order which was produced before you got to the checkout. The menus on the wall were in English and Italian. Excellent value, if we are ever in that area again that's where we will eat.

Bacon, dried beef and chestnuts Gnocchi with fondue Humid with polenta or smooth Stew with mushrooms, sausage, carbonada, deer Homemade desserts House wine and coffee and other tasty dishes to choose We organize dinners and lunches, settled for events.
We'd hoped to have supper here but only lunch was available the day we were there. We were warmly welcomed by the friendly and efficient waitress despite the place being really busy. The local wine recommendation (Enfer) was spot on and the polenta was really tasty. The desserts were great too.Would definitely return.

The meat was very good, medium cooked. The desert was also very good, i had a tiramisu and also tasted from mille foglie. A good meal

The restaurant la Fordze keeps its historic name but changes management in December 2014, offering a radical change of food and atmosphere. The new managers, Marco and Elena are very happy to greet you just like you are at your own home. They would like y
Three of us went specifically for pizza but were left a little disappointed. Expecting the ultra thin & crispy bases weâve had elsewhere throughout Italy, these were more akin to those that you get in the UK and were quite doughy. We shared a mixed salad which was essentially different ingredients chopped and placed in a bowl, not mixed or dressed at all. The place was full of what seemed to be local people and was reasonably priced, and the prosecco we had was light & crisp, pity the pizzas werenât! Staff though were very friendly, would go back to try other items on the menu which sounded delicious.

Our first week time in Val d'Aosta was beatifully supported by this B&B + restaurant! In fact we were very sad leaving Planaval and at the same time sure we shall be back and save a great memory of them. In order the most interesting points:- Service: the all staff is young and smart. Always smiling and comunicative also during peak time. Never stressed.- Food: simply great! Huge portions for the half board, properly introduced by the waiter (bravo Sergio!) and setted up. The chef is invisible: always busy in the kitchen: thanks for the Stinco and Risotto ai frutti di bosco!- Rooms: clean and beautifully designed using old original wooden elements and more recent ones. Stone is smartly used to get a perfect touch to interiors.- Environment: it's true it's a bit far away from La Salle but sometimes it's exactly what you like. The valley offers single tracks up to 2300 mslm starting from the hotel, you can trek or bike (Scott mtb available!).It was simply a dream! Eventually thanks to Ms Monica and the other we did not manage to personally thanks when we left early! Enjoy!

We chose this place based on Tripadvisor reviews, and were not disappointed. Servings were generous and the waiter recommended some interesting things to try as first courses. They were delicious, especially the meat stuffed ravioli with nut sauce. We had one steak between the two of us, wine, and dessert, and paid 70 euros. We left full and satisfied but 35 euros each seemed quite a bit, since good agriturismos and other restaurants with more ambiance and better upkeep charge less than that for more food, same quality. However, this place was great and just what we were looking for after a day at the spa, and I would recommend it.

This is a place that at first may seem too simple, but just try and you will discover that regional mountain cuisine can be more unique than all the fancy stuff that you find everywhere else nowadays. Dishes are real from the region, ingredients are local top quality, and the cooking is naturally tasty and healthy. Try the simple "menu of the day" and you will be happy, but if you dare to dig further into the menu you will be surprised. Make sure you try their desserts, specially one that is their signature: the "sfogliata con frutti di bosco", that is a multi-layered cake filled with lemon zest sweet cream and mixed berries, presented in a shape that reminds of the alpine constructions: flakey flat stones with sweet filling in between. Oh, the service is a bit inconsistent but hey, this is Italy after all!

The whole atmsphere is lovely here. Staff are cheerful and friendly, and food is great. We had pasta with wild boar ragu and gnocchi with rabbit ragu; both were delicicious and very filling. Prices are fair. Highly recommend.
