Most of the city is located in Maricopa County, while a tiny portion in the north is in Yavapai County. It is a major suburb of Phoenix. According to 2010 Census Bureau releases, the population of the city is 154,065. Peoria is currently the sixth largest city in Arizona for land area, and the ninth largest for population. It was named after Peoria, Illinois. The word "peoria" is a corruption of the Illini word for "prairie fire." It is the spring training home of the San Diego Padres and Seattle Mariners who share the Peoria Sports Complex. In July 2008, Money magazine listed Peoria in its Top 100 Places to Live.

This is a venue with approximately 10 tables inside and a large patio for alfresco dining.We selected and split, for our lunch, the Polish Sampler. It included three cheese pierogi's, a kielbasa, cabbage roll and hunter stew. The Kielbasa was delightful. Sweet, flavorful almost melt in your mouth. Pierogi's and cabbage roll were equally satisfying. A destination venue. Just do it.

We stopped in here while shopping nearby with the kids. The salads looked good, and I ended up having the southwest cobb and enjoyed it. My wife had a chicken salad sandwich that tasted very good as well. The real winners were our kids (and our wallets). The kids meals were amazingly low priced if you stay and eat, with a bit of a higher price tag if you take them to go. They know their audience to draw in parents this way. We all tried the prickly pear lemonade, which was great. This is a chain, but it was also a good meal.
