Cold as ice outside. Breathtaking view. Good food in large portions. Waiters very friendly and service oriented. We' ll deffinitely eat here again as soon as we get up on the glacier.
Back in the valley, the Maisi Alm offers everything that's certain to get a winter sports fan's pulse racing in pure anticipation: schnitzel, steak and different pasta dishes, along with desserts that include Kaiserschmarrn-style pancakes and cake.
This restaurant bar is situated right next to the lift so it's very convenient once you've finished a run and fancy a break. The first time we tried it, we had a great pizza, sat outside in the sunshine and although the service and coffee weren't great, the outdoors mood and food made up for it.Sadly, our second trip for lunch was worse - the pizza was still great however, the coffee and desserts were awful (we tried the traditional Austrian shredded pancakes) but what made our experience really dire, was the service. The waiter just couldn't be bothered to come over despite us trying several times to catch his attention - when he did arrive, he was grumpy and monosyllabic and I've no idea if he could / couldn't speak English but he had difficulty in taking our order, even though we were pointing things out on the menu.Trying to order dessert became comical because again, he really didn't seem keen to serve us (or anyone else for that matter, he was consistently rude!) so overall, we were glad to finish up and definitely wouldn't return.

We had lunch several times and the service is amazingly fast even at peak times. Food is great and I recommend the Wiener schnitzel and Kaiserschmarren. The portions are quite big so bring a lot of hunger :). Our favorite spot during our trip especially because they don't blast you with loud music.
After a long ride back from Italy we wanted Austrian food! The service was good waitress friendly. We almost missed it hidden on corner main road as hotel! Guest garden out side all fenced in great for little kids! Bathrooms clean. Grilled meat dish cooked perfect and butter zesty! Salad fresh French fries crisp!Austrian cordon Blue savory vegetables potatoes all fresh!
