Dined there with family the evening before admitted students day March 2. The place is small, hectic, and a little noisy. Decor is modern and minimalist. It is full of students and the energy that they bring. Service was friendly and efficient. We enjoyed a variety of (mostly fried) appetisers and all had different main courses. I had ramen which was complex, rich and very tasty, but everybody enjoyed their food. The bill totalled $57 before gratuity which I thought very reasonable. The only (minor) drawback is that they serve no alcohol and nor is one permitted to BYOB. Not sure whether this is a local regulation or house rules (possibly to discourage people from lingering? This is a high turnover restaurant.) but I would have enjoyed a beer.

Located on the more rustic outskirts of Newark, Nutterâs is a welcome destination for those who donât want to fight the crowds or traffic downtown. If youâve never been, be forewarned itâs on a crooked 4 way intersection with challenging sight-lines and not much of a turn lane. Best to approach the small parking lot from the north on 273, or to come in from the verbose Jackson Hall School Road.Praise is forthcoming for Nutterâs, but I must get my sole complaint out of the way (with the hope that management is reading). Almost daily, they post a big sign reading âCrab Soup Today!â The first time I had the opportunity to stop in, I naturally ordered the acclaimed soup. It was so salty, I couldnât get past the second spoonful. Tried again a few weeks later with the same result. Unless I can confirm that they have changed their recipe, I will not be ordering the soup again!Conversely, Nutterâs subs and sandwiches hit the mark every time. They are well made with fresh, quality ingredients, and are dee-lish! The pre-packaged side salads are an excellent accompaniment. Their other crab-based offering, crabcakes, are as good as any high-end restaurantâs. They will sell them grilled or uncooked.Prices are surprisingly reasonable, and the young staff is well-trained and affable.
As former spice merchants, we learned how to use seasonings from around the world to create unique and crave-worthy flavors. With kitchen-door access to hundreds of restaurants, we soon realized that really good soup was hard to find. So, we set out to tr
Went for a quick lunch, nearly impossible to decide because every soup we tried was amazing! Settled on and loved the mulligatawny!!! Even got another order to bring home for lunch the next day! Service was great, quick and prices very reasonable.Thank you Kathy for the review! Our XL size soups make it easy to take soup "to go" and enjoy for another meal -- or two, depending on how many people you are feeding!

Ordered a catered breakfast for a business meeting and had nothing but complements about the food and presentation. Ordered an assortment of bagels, scones, and other breakfast breads in addition to a fresh fruit bowl and OJ. Everything is packed extremely well and the order was 100% accurate and was ready when I walked in to pick it up!
