We enjoyed our meal very much. I ordered the pasta with clams and it was seasoned perfectly. They serve it in a pot and you serve yourself onto the plate!

Countless times I have walked passed and wondered why this charming restaurant / cafe / bar / bagno is heavily frequented. Early today ahead of the crowd, I went in for a quick cappuccino and was impressed at the fine quality of friendly service, that rare combination of efficiency and pleasantly accommodating. This will mean many more return visits, not just for the splendid coffee (a perfect cup) but because I believe excellent service is the hallmark of any fine restaurant establishment. I recommend it to anyone who likes to be treated like a local, even though you might be from afar.

From the outside you wouldn't give it a buck: it seams more a bar than a tavern. The staff is great and the service super. On saturday nights, especially on high season, you need to book a table in advance. Good and tasty food. Though the price isn't exactly a tavern price, it's worth.

Everytime i fly to Italy I land in Pisa around 12.30pm giving me the opportunity to stop at Romano for lunch......what can i tell about this place....everything is perfect and the food extraordinary .By the way Romano is good friend of Sirio Maccioni owner of Le Cirque in NYC ( he told me about this place) .

Came here with some friends for a birthdayNot much of a greeting when we walked in the 2 girls at the door seemed to busy to check their clotheswe ordered a bit of everything : starters, some fried fish, grilled meat and pizzas. We started with some antipasti , the waiter after coming twice to double check what we ordered ended up bringing us the wrong dishesHalf of table was already eating their food while the other half was still waiting.I found tin foil on my salami sliceThe mix grilled meat was all burnt outside and raw in the middle and the potatoes that came with it were absolutely vile we didnt even touch them, they smelled awful and looked old .We barely finished our food we couldnt continueWe found a fork with some long blond hair wrapped around it and another one with tomato pieces attached to itOnly who ordered pizza had a decent meal since the pizzas were the only thing they probably cant freeze and re heat later on like the rest of our food.Im clearly not coming back here and wont suggest it to anyone else , there s millions better restaurants in viareggio than this

Great seafood restaurant on the passeggiata of Lido Di Camaiore, Sale Sciocco offers that little bit more than most, a fridge displaying lobster and crabs and when you order a fish it is shown to you in its raw, fresh state before cooking.Good selection of local wines, service very good, if you go on a Saturday night in August do not expect to eat quickly...fair enough!!Price is slightly higher than most but this reflects the high quality of produce used.Will certainly return, one of my favourites in Lido..

This restaurant was recommended to us by the reception staff at our hotel. It is situated on a roundabout but strangely that doesn't spoil things. It is a traditional Italian restaurant and you really need to speak some Italian to be understood. The matriarch is eccentric but lovely. The food was good but very expensive for its location
