They are a dry restaurant but gourmet grilled cheeses and soups. Each year my kids make sure we go at least twice while visiting for our 1 week holiday. I love the beet and poached pear combination while my kids like more traditional. Choice of breads and homemade soup all made in front of you with fresh ingredients. The owner's are fantastic and they take care of you. Do not miss going to this place. My kids wanted to drive 2.5 hours each way to go to lunch there one day. I drew the line at that but if in the area and if they are open...you MUST go. Also, the butcher shop next door has amazing bacon.

I waited for a while to review this restaurant as I believe in second chances. This is our third visit now and I feel totally disappointed. The breakfast menu is very meat oriented and quite bland. The two eggs and toast arrived in a unappetizing display and th hash brown looked like it was chewed up and spat out. See pic. Their lunch menu is a bit more versatile. I will wait a long time before I pay a visit again. I do not consider it a good value for my money. Dear Customer,If your were not satisfied on your first 2 visits, why would you bother to come back for a third visit, yet alone consider a 4th try? Our breakfast menu is not at all âblandâ. Offering meat such as bacon, sausage and peameal is very common on a breakfast menu. We can work to accommodate special diets and offer many meals without meat. You visited our restaurant yesterday and decided to order 2 scrambled eggs with toast and hash browns. Iâm not sure what it was you were expecting them to look like on your plate! When your server returned to the kitchen with your uneaten plate of hash browns I personally asked if she had checked with you on your satisfaction. You told her everything was âfineâ .... I wish your concerns had been expressed yesterday when you were there so we could possibly have addressed and resolved any issues you might have had. Instead, you went home and wrote a nasty review behind the safety of your computer screen. I have skimmed over some of your previous reviews of some really lovely establishments in Bobcaygeon and other towns, and there seems to be a common thread. You almost ALWAYS have some sort of negative comment and state that â it will be a long, long time before I returnâ. My advice to you is to consider eating at home! Please, do not return to my restaurant for a 4th try! Yours truly,Liz LauderOwner Operator
Where to eat Seafood food in Kawartha Lakes: The Best Restaurants and Bars
At Extreme Pita, we are in constant pursuit of perfection. We are committed to helping our guests and our Pita Pros eat healthy and live well.
Lindsay has too few fresh food restaurants. I can think of Teriyaki Town, Pane Vino and a couple of Thai restaurants. How I hate tasteless food that arrives in restaurant kitchens in plastic bags ready for warming and serving. Thus I am delighted to report that Exteme Pita in the Lindsay Square, just to the left of the main entrance, serves fresh food that is both inexpensive and a delight to the taste buds. Among the menu items are shawarmas, soulakis, falafels, grilled chicken and goat cheese and so on. It's a tiny and friendly place. Seating is limited but you can do take out if you wish. Give it a try and meet the owners from the western part of India. You'll be impressed.
