We came in for a dinner around 10:30pm, having in mind just to indulge with raw sea food island Ischia is famous for. The pace was super busy, but they have managed to find a tab for 2 for us right away. We have ordered "le crudite" - everything raw: 4 langoustine (scampi), 8 oysters Gillardeau and 10 sea urchins (ricci di mare). Salad with octopus as a main dish. Everything to share. Well, the service was very so so (but again the place was busy). First time in my all dining experience we had to change the wine! We have ordered a bottle of Falanghina, they brought it very warm and it didn't taste good at all. As The replacement they brought us some Ischian wine, I can't say it was good as well to match the seafood. Anyway, the biggest disappointment was when we tried le crudite - as each piece of the sea food had a shell inside. I mean the person who opens oysters really doesn't know how to do it, so he just crack them - that causes the shell to come inside the meat broken in a tiny pieces... Sea urchins the same story.. Langoustines were tiny, but very delicious though (I am a big fan of a tasty food and if something is good I say straight away). Anyway, overall the food was very good quality. But it is a pity that a person factor messed up the taste. Octopus salad was fine, nothing extraordinary but not bad, octopus tender and fresh salad leaves. Portion was not big, but enough if you are ordering a lot of stuff or are not very hungry. Just mention all the evening we had only one glass for the water, although we have ordered a big bottle of Ferrarelle, but waiters didn't bring us the second glass during 2 hours. Same with tissues. It seemed like a Mission to get them. Overall impression: alright food, nothing special, but not bad, but very very bad service. Ps we have asked for the bill 3 times and have been waiting for it for 40 min. Lol. My second half even was ready to leave, as he thought they wouldn't realize that we have left as the stuff was literally paying no attention to us. Btw the tab next to us has been sitting with dirty plates for 40 mins.

Visited 23/9. Not sure what the hell was going on, but the behaviour of the female manager was appalling. She barged around the restaurant scowling at her colleagues and customers alike, slamming down plates, zero interaction with the customers. We watched in amazement and we werenât alone as I could see the bemused looks on other diners faces. The only reason I didnât complain was because I wasnât prepared to spoil the last night of our lovely holiday. She is ruining an otherwise good business, itâs in a prime spot and the food was good. Never had an experience like it.

I had a wonderful dinner at Da Ciccio Ischia Ponte this evening. The staff was attentive, and accommodating. The meal began with complimentary glass of sparkling wine and a large plate of olives. I ordered the octopus salad to start; it was fresh and light, and the red prawns to follow which were absolute heaven on a plate. Both of which were paired with a glass of wine chosen by the server to my specifications perfectly. I had to skip dessert as I was too full to continue but I could have stayed there all night whiling away the time in such a delightful setting. Pro-tip: request an outdoor table and be sure to book ahead. I saw them turning people away left and right.

I visited this restaurant numerous times whilst holidaying in Ischia, the staff went above and beyond and being a solo traveller I wasnât made to feel uncomfortable, I was able to sit and relax and enjoy my food and just watch the world go by!The restaurant is situated on the main piazza as you walk up towards The numerous boutiques so worth an evening me in there.Again, definitely recommend this.

A bit off the beaten path, we were the only non-Italians dining here...generally a good sign. The food was fantastic and abundant. Try the octopus appetizer, and the mussels with eggplant was truly sensational. Eggplant just melted in my mouth. If I return to Ischia Aenaria will be on my dining list.

Lovely family-run restaurant. Delicious fresh seafood & pasta, great service and a lovely port-side setting. It was perfect! Definitely hunt this one out, as you need to walk past a few first. Trust me It's worth it. Grazie Mille Luciana E Genarro!
