Bryggjan Grindavik, is a fisherman´s Cafe on the pier by the Grindavik Harbour, offering Lobster Soup, fish entrés, open faced sandwiches, coffee, drinks and cakes.
Stopped here for lunch on tour around the peninsula.Lovely lobster soup, a little salty but that didn't stop me having a second helping (free refill). There is a small bar area on the ground floor with outside seating but go upstairs for a better view and more food options, looks like its used as en entertainment venue as well.Good service.

This was our 3rd time at Salthusid ("Salthouse") and it is always good. Small dining room was pretty full by the time we left. Excellent garlic langoustine appetizer and salmon.I wasn't as hungry and had the burger which was quite good for Iceland, where burgers can be hit or miss!

We were taken here for lunch as part of a tour. All the food was on a self serve table and it consisted of bread and soup. The soup was good but the meal seemed spartan. The oddest thing about the meal was that the man who appeared to be the manager or possibly the owner, stood around wearing a scowl the entire time we were there. I've never experienced a restauranteur who glared, scowled and appeared to be so unhappy that he had customers eating in his place. We were a large group of senior citizens cruising on a 6 star cruise line so it's not like we looked like a bunch of hoodlums. The best way I can describe this man's demeanor would be that it was like he was afraid we were going to steal his silverware or a dish or something, seriously.
