Nicky's

We passed Nicky's on our way to somewhere else and took note of a very crowded parking lot at 4pm on a Sunday afternoon. On our way back, we decided to give this restaurant a try and we were glad we did. In an unpretentious dining room, we were politely seated and given a menu and a list of specials! Wow! a bottle of Pinot Grigio wine for $14.95 (Yellow Tail). My wife ordered Chickem Parm and received a huge plate of sumptuous Italian heaven she could not finish, She can't wait to finish later this week at home. I ordered the fish and chips which came with delightfully breaded flavorful fish, Fries, Onion rings, Cole slaw and Clam Chowder. On an impulse, I decided to also order a small side of Whole Bellied Fried Clams. I was astonished when an enormous pile of perfectly cooked fried clams were delivered. My wife helped me finish the clams! We thoroughly enjoyed this feast and all for slightly more than $50 which included the wine! The restaurant epitomizes the moniker of Family Dining, which I take to mean large portions of great food great food very affordably priced! I highly recommended that you give Nicky's a try! We are planning to go back soon!

We've stopped at this Subway at least three times, including just yesterday. Tired of all the fast foods that are typically on/off the highway. We've always experienced fast, courteous service, and the staff there are very nice people. Only problem is exiting the location, but that seems to be a problem no matter what side of the major road you're on. Very clean restaurant, including the restroom. Food is typical Subway, though you can't go wrong. Highly recommend.

The Organic Buzz Cafe & Juice Bar offers numerous healthy options including a gluten free wrap for their sandwiches. They also offer nice looking pastries and gelato for dessert. Customers order at the counter and have the option of sitting inside on nice well-lit seating surrounded by contemporary décor (photos attached) or outside on a patio, weather permitting. One of us and a friend went here for lunch on a rainy October weekday afternoon around 1:00 PM. The café was quiet, and we were able to order right away. We tried their Chickpea Tahini with Tomato, Cucumber and Greens as a sandwich and a gluten free wrap (photos attached). The sandwiches tasted very good but were a little pricy at $9.00 each plus $1.00 for the gluten free wrap. Their coffee was good, and we also enjoyed an excellent gluten free / dairy free pumpkin spice muffin. Bottom line, if you are in the quiet community of Norfolk and looking for a healthy meal option or coffee and a pastry in a causal setting, this café is worth a try.
