Came in at 745 and was immediately seated despite a very busy dining room. Scott was serving us and mixing drinks. He was exceptional. Knew beers extremely well! They were out of Allagash White and he immediately offered comparable (better) alternative, for my girlfriend,a Portland, ME brewed Heffeweisen that was fantastic. He made me a Don Julio margarita that was obviously made with great bartending skill. Service and food exceeded our expectations. Well worth the price!

I was on vacation with my mom and looking for a place that might have more locals than tourists. This was definitely it. The menu is very extensive, there is something for everyone but I recommend keeping it simple and ordering the soup bar. The haddock chowder was excellent, there are also 2 other daily soups to choose from and a wide variety of breads to go with it. We also tried the lobster roll, haddock crab filet and blueberry pie. Everything was excellent. Service can be a bit slow but for the most part the staff was friendly and it was worth the wait. Grab a drink, check out the view, relax and have some patience and you'll do just fine.

This restaurant is the former location of a church I attended when visiting Damariscotta every summer so I was curious to see the reuse and the reviews sounded positive. The owner is supportive of the local organic farms which was a plus. We went for a late lunch and wanted a lighter meal. I ordered a bowl of their fish chowder and my husband had a chicken salad sandwich with a green side salad. The chowder was delicious and my husbandâs sandwich & salad were simple but with very fresh ingredients. We sat in the basement level where they have repurposed some of the pews from upstairs as benches along with tables and dining chairs. There were no other patrons when we arrived but customers started to come in for dinner as we were finishing. We had an enjoyable experience and would go back again.

Quick summary - very good place for warm (paninis, ruebens) or cold sandwiches. Moderate prices for half (mostly $6-7.50) or whole (mostly $12 - 14) sizes. Fresh soups, salads, and beverages. Eat in or take out.My husband and I stopped in when we needed a sandwich to go. We had a really delicious sandwich off Italian meats and cheeses, fresh-tasting garnishes, all on a good submarine roll. you can also build-your-own on a variety of breads, meats, cheeses, vegetables, condiments.Soup of the day: $4 cup, $5 bowl.A caution: read the suggested combinations carefully. I THOUGHT a "Classic Maine Italian" would be full of salamis, provolone, etc. Instead, it was ham, American cheese, etc. of the take-any-ethnicity-out-of-it variety that no real Italian would recognize. For our Italian combination, you want the #4 - salami, capcola, provolone, with all the salad trimming, including banana peppers. There are others...Beverages to go. Good salads include garden, chef, antipasto, most in the $750 range if it is more than veges.Fast, friendly, professional service.Easy parking nearby.Always a good stop when we are visiting family in the area.

Been driving by for years, should have stopped in sooner. Cozy, easy, informal and very friendly atmosphere. Order at the counter and pour yourself some coffee. I enjoyed the Western Scramble Special. Real home fries from small local potatoes. Iâll be back.
