This is the best Vietnamese noodle house in town. Everything is cooked fresh to order, whereas the main competitor (Saigon Noodles) has a high proportion of pre-cooked items, making it appear to have faster service. The best item on the menu is the Singapore Noodles, with a wonderful spicy curry flavour. Imported bottled beer is well priced. Lovely lady owner. Debit or cash only.

We are a cozy gourmet bistro and coffee roasting company, with food featuring unique creative flare & in house roasted coffee!
Love this place, I always get the eggs benny and it is always perfect every time I order it. The service is always fast and the plates are presented so clean! The atmosphere is pretty calm most of the time. They probably have the best hash browns hands down, I also enjoy the iced tea lemonade, it isnât your typical surgery Canadian ice tea, it is ICED tea and it is my fav. The Montreal skillet is also very yummy, come with toast as well and a side of jam! I highly recommend going here

My family was visiting the Comox area and we wanted something as close to homemade as possible. The soups and sandwich selection change each day. Dining is Al Fresco under the front canopy. Its down to earth friendly, excellent quality and easy to order the food from their menu. You have to try this gem of an eatery.

Authentic ramen made from scratch using local meat, organic produce, and house-made noodles. Family owned and operated.
Staff are friendly and efficient but if people aren't your thing, try the amazing new computerized ordering system! The atmosphere is fun and unpretentious as ramen places should be, yet the menu pushes the boundaries of the medium with new and excellent ideas, to great effect! The owners and chefs have a genuine commitment to making great food. Recommend following their instagram for updates on their travel an inspiration. Love this place, and will keep coming back!

Consistently good spot to eat. We ordered a lamb burger and jambalaya. The lamb burger was juicy flavorful and great value for your money. The jambalaya was disappointing, it should have been filled with lots of sausage shrimp but was mostly peppers and a few of the meats. Ordered medium spicy and unfortunately it just tasted like it had a hot sauce on the whole dish. It was served over rice. The waitress was very informative about the specials and the service was fairly good. We will go back, just won't have the jambalaya.

When you enter the Yellow Deli, you might find yourself reliving some ancient memories of an era long gone. Built in the early 1920s, this house has welcomed many home through its doors and has remained much the same over the years. Inside, all of the dec
Took a guest out for lunch here the other day, as I wanted to see the new addition to the Yellow Deli. I am familiar with the menu, and not much has changed. For a new comer, the interior is a novelty and Hobbit like, but the wood seating can get uncomfortable. Service has a curiously disinterest to it. Rare is a smile, and water, menu, and your food is presented to you indifferently. Price point is very reasonable but they have no fryer so only cold crisps with your sandwich. Soup, home made, is extra and I had a cup, which was quite good, although overdone with cream. Which brings me to a possible FoodSafe issue here. Within a half hour of leaving the establishment, we both had diarrhea. My suspicion is the rather wet sauerkraut on the Rueben or the "special sauce" on The Rose. Guys, you got to work on this one and check on any issues in the kitchen. Won't be coming back soon.We are so sorry! The description of your experience pained us, as it is not characteristic of the attitude and quality of service that we aim for. We desire that our customers would have a positive experience that they will never forget, not a negative one! Having just arrived in Courtenay for the final evening of a 10-day visit to Vancouver Island, we hoped we could find a restaurant that could serve up a memorable meal. Using TripAdvisor as our guide, and the relatively small size of the city to facilitate exploration, we drove around and through the town until we settled on an elegant-looking establishment downtown, the Atlas Cafe.âCafeâ is an understatement, as it is a full-service, full-menu restaurant with a small bar. After a ten minute wait, we were shown to a quiet window table and studied the menu, which had a insert that listed the eveningâs special dishes. The one that stood out for me was the House Smoked Turkey Drumstick ($22), which was served as a giant club of meat and bone, beautifully smoked, and resting upon an absolutely delicious melange of vegetables, described on the menu insert as âarbol chili jus and local corn succotash with Fitzgerald Farmsâ Swiss chard, padron peppers and paddy pan squashâ. See if you can spot all these ingredients in the accompanying photo.I seldom am unable to finish a dish, especially when it is not preceded by an appetizer, but as good as this dish was, it bested me.Across the table, Madame has a large bowl of mussels in a light sauce with toast that she raved about ($17).We brought our own bottle of wine ($20 corkage). The dessert menu looked great, but there was no space left to put it.So our mission - to have a memorable meal on our last night on the Island - was accomplished, in a most enjoyable way.
