Ippudo, our ramen restaurant, was first established in 1985 in Hakata, Fukuoka. Currently in 2017, we have over 100 stores throughout Japan. In 1990, our founder, Shigemi Kawahara, entered the Hall of Fame for winning the the ramen competition of the show
We went along for our first experience of Ramen. Great buzz about the place and very friendly staff. We shared a bench with some other locals. We had both pork and chicken ramen and they were really good. We were hoping for thinly sliced beef but it wasnât on the menu. Really good value and a great experience - we would go back but probably for lunch next time.

Lovely find! Good food, super cheap and great option for vegans. Friendly staff! You pick your meal before entering as itâs a very small space!

I have been going here for several years and always lineup as it is so good, reasonable and well situated behind Apple Store on Main Ginza Drag. BUT, when I went this past time, no lineup and it is now a Maishi Ramen. Still good, but miss the original Kagari. Hope that it might reopen somewhere else? Original back at Echika near Starbucks at Ikebukuro Station. Good luck and enjoy.

We had the spice miso and the tonkotsu, along with a gyoza sampler. As previous review has pointed out, gyoza were small and the place was small and less glitzy than youâd expect for Ginza but we LOVED it! Thick broth, quick friendly service. We went back a second time for our last meal in Tokyo.
