We were referred here by someone at a local winery. Everything was so perfectly wonderful here--waiting for a table while exploring the hilltop-medieval village above it, dining with a sweeping view of the coast, eating amazing food and laughing at ourselves as we tried to decipher the menu. It is a very local place, so speak Italian or be prepared to wing it!

We had an evening meal at the Venezia - I chose the large seafood starter, which came as a series of different plates, some nicer than others (had the option been available we would probably have rated this as a 3.5 star meal, but it would have seemed mean to give only three stars). Of the starters, the octopus in tomato sauce was particularly good. The portion sizes overall are large, so you need to be careful what you order. There's outdoor seating accessible through the restaurant - the night we were there this was a lot busier than indoors.

Gloria is a very nice, unpretentious typical Italian "osteria". The staff is very friendly, the owner takes your orders because there is no written menu but he is also really, really nice. The food is actually simple, typical Italian, from simple ingredients but sooo delicious, prepared at the spot. We incidently found this place on Tripadvisor (we were looking for something else) and gave it a try but ended eating there two nights in a row. It is crowded (reservations obligatory!) with locals, which is also a good sign. Another great thing is that the owner, after he understood that we wanted to try as many dishes as possible, offered to serve half- servings stating that was no problem at all! And so we managed to try a number of dishes, all great, no matter whether they were sea food or meat dishes. However, two of them stood out: spelt with sea food (frutti di mare) and anchovies in the pan, made with exquisite local olive oil and lemon juice! Bravo Gloria! And yes, excellent rapport between value and cost!
