Pension and restaurant on the hill overlooking the historical centre offers daily menu and Slovak culinary specialties. With indoor and outdoor children playground.
Situated behind the local football stadium, the place is bit difficult to spot. Especially on a rainy evening. We almost gave up but luckily there were two young boys whom were very kind, willing to lead us, following their car, from the city center all the way to the place.Make sure you use the exact address on your navigation device.Other than that, very nice place, with quite some nice view, and excellent food. Prices are more than reasonable for full diner.

Where to eat Central European food in Banska Stiavnica: The Best Restaurants and Bars
Hotel Grand-Matej in Banska Stiavnica is presenting itself as a 4 star hotel. But you will not find 4 star quality there. Not in the rooms, not in the restaurant neither in the wellness. I had an extra large room No 30 with the beautifull view, but it is all positive about it. Room is furnitured with old and used furniture, bathroom should be reconstructed, toilet cover was broken, bath has damaged paint and the floor is squeaky. Breakfast was OK you could choose from cold and warm buffet. Stuff was pretty friendly but over all if you want to have a pleasant stay in Banska Stiavnica, you should decide for one of many smaller pensions in the town.
