't Amusement is the restaurant of chef Estee Strooker (26). As a 20-year-old girl she opened the restaurant in 2011 after she won the program Masterchef Netherland. Now, more than five years later, she is still as passionate as she was when she started. A
Very nice restaurant, very good food, excellent service. Nice touch, the red dresses.Wine from the Limoux is almost too old, has lost its freshness. The surprise menu was a very good choice as were the oysters. I agree that the waiting time between courses is too long. And would prefer real sparkling water, the one you use loses its sparkle almost immediately.Thank you Cleo and Chef Estee for a lovely evening.

Located in an old building in the center if Arnhem this restaurant is a must for Italian food lovers who like to combine good food with a pleasant atmosphere. The menu gives you ample choice of all things good in Italian cuisine and they also offer an extensive choice on the special menu sheet. Service is excellent and the wine choices are ample. They also offer seasonal foods such as game.

Hello all,Been there in March'18.We loved it.For the families is super! If you come just 2 of you or only adults, you will be fine in the adult areas. The zones are well thought through and you don't see screeming kids running around. Why?They are all downstairs in the play room or their own cinema room.As to the food,it's fresh and diverse. From meet to sea food ,fresh fruit, lots of salads, the desert area is also fabulous with chocolate fountains and cakes, frozen yoghurt. The stuff is super friendly ,all is clean, dishes are cleaned up fast. All in all-success ! The only thing you have to remember:if you like the restaurant with super tiny space and 5 tables-this is not a place for you. Its big open space with lots of tables. We didn't find it bad as all the tables are set in a different areas and you actually have the privacy you need.Go and try,you won't be disappointed!!!

This beautiful restaurant is a must-try in the small village of Velp, Holland. The actual watermill in its front leads to a lovely terrace and, beyond that, a welcoming restaurant inside. Since the weather in Holland does not often lend itself to outside dinners. even on this July visit recently, we opted for an inside table. We called an hour or so before and were delighted to find our table set up and ready, and yet, we were not rushed to take our spots. We were offered drinks by the cozy sitting area near the fireplace, accompanied by deliciously marinated olives and other snacks (complimentary). When we were done with a couple of rounds of drinks, we took our seats and were ready to order since we had checked out the menu while chatting and having our apéros. In our group of 9 adults, 2 opted for the 'Chef's surprise', an intriguing option that can be ordered regardless of what the others at the table order (there is a larger tasting menu, also called Chef's surprise, with more courses, and which does require all diners at the table to partake in that service, understandably.) Even upon ordering, we are not given a hint of what the chef has in mind that evening, just asked if we have any allergies or anything-but-x on our list. We didn't, so we eagerly awaited our courses. As we had some white and some red wine drinkers at the table, we selected a red in the reasonable price category of their pretty good list, and the maître d' (or owner?) discreetly suggested a white in the same price range for us as well. Nice touch.Winners in our overall selections were the vitello tonnato, the steak eaters as well, and for sure the Chef's surprise courses. The steak tartare was fresh and good, but could have used more seasoning and we were not asked when the order was taken if we wanted it more spicy or less so. The fries were very good as well. All in all, we highly recommend De Watermolen, speak to the owner (or manager) about the history of the watermill, he is very knowledgeable and pleasant. We had no problem getting English menus for those of us who needed it, and the waiter insisted on speaking English to us, even though we did have some Dutch natives among us. The entire meal was a bit on the pricey side, but hey, we were here for a special occasion and were happy to indulge.Would definitely return and highly recommend!

We went for our 15th Anniversary. We knew it would be more exclusive, more impressive, and more expensive than anything we'd tried before. We weren't disappointed on all of those points. Set in the beautifully restored old town-hall (the interior is surprisingly contemporary) the space was perfectly finished, with great attention to detail. Large, well dressed, tables with plenty of space between them. A quiet, polite, efficient & cheery waitress and waiter explained the wine list (encyclopaedia) to us and brought us a glass of Moët & Chandon with a beautiful (complementary) amuse to start things off. A bottle of wine and one of sparkling mineral water were presented, poured, and placed just out of reach on the table. This kind of worried me a little but there was no need - every time my thoughts went to maybe topping a glass up, someone would be there topping it up for me. Our entrees arrived very promptly and were works of culinary art - especially my lobster-themed plate. I hardly dared disturb it, so beautifully constructed. (see the pictures I managed to sneak in)Another (complementary) in between-dish was brought out - a kind of savoury Crème Brûlée, in my crude culinary vocabulary - that was just delicious. The mains arrived and were equally stunning to look at, as well as being incredibly cleverly thought out. The combination of flavours as subtle as they were unexpected and ingenious. Deserts were ordered (unusually for us) and another in-between dish preceded them. A light coconut sorbet with a sprinkling of tiny granola, topped with a disc of sugar/coriander which had various blobs of exiting things on it; wasabi-crème (yes 'that' wasabi - on a dessert) white chocolate crème and tiny lavender flowers. I was amazed, again. Then the desserts proper. I had what basically amounted to 'death by chocolate', and it was simply superb. Chocolate a dozen different ways, with a dozen different flavours. Another work of art, such a shame to have to destroy it (but be sure I did just that). The bill; was twice as much as we'd pay elsewhere in a decent restaurant, but the whole experience was five times better. Not something we'd do every other week, but 't Raedthuys is now our go-to place on that special occasion.

Nice and cosy restaurant. Great food, nice wines and a lot of several beers. Staff is very friendly and speaks english, french and german.
Very friendly staffs, and nice food, good atmosphere. Due to unknown reason, the main course was served a little slow. Compared with the other Dutch restaurants which are normally not good enough for services, this restaurant is far more better. If you go to Arnhem, this restaurant is worthy to try.
