Sandbar is located on the beach in Sandy Ground, one of the most charming fishing villages in the Caribbean and the "sea and sand" theme of the bar envelopes you as you enter. Lots of natural light, unobstructed views of Road Bay with its myriad boats at
We always try to make a SandBar visit when on the island. The food was as good as, or even better, than in the past (although plates are now $10 - $15+) - - we tried 6-8 and enjoyed all of them. Drink prices somewhat reasonable. Great frozen rum punch. Service was terrific. Great location and atmosphere (go at sunset). And the owners are very cordial and friendly.

Very good wings. Chicken pasta was delicious, and so was the chicken Caesar salad. Overall great atmosphere and friendly staff. The beach is amazing.

We love Eâs Oven. We arrived for dinner and our meal began with a delicious swordfish amuse bouche. We shared the octopus appetizer that had the most delicious banana with it, and was as good as we remembered last year. Our dinners were coconut crusted fish, conch creole and roasted chicken with plantains and vegetables. The service is very good....you are not rushed at all. The only reason we gave 4 instead of 5 was that my sister felt the coconut crusted fish was just ok. She will order the conch creole next year!

My wife and I had dinner at Mango's during a recent visit to Anguilla. We've eaten at Mango's before (see my previous reviews), and always really liked it, but we weren't as impressed this time. Our experience overall was pretty good, just not as good as before. For starters, I had the conch chowder and my wife had the lobster cake; the chowder was very good, and the lobster cake was good but small. For dinner, I had the sesame snapper filet (which we've had before) and my wife had the brazero snapper; the sesame snapper was good but not as flavorful as I remember from before, and my wife thought her snapper tasted more like tilapia. We were too full for dessert. We has a bottle of Ravenswood zinfandel with dinner, which was good; we wanted Sterling cabernet sauvignon, but they were out of it. The service during dinner was attentive but leisurely.Mango's is worth trying if you've never been there, and it still gets great reviews, but there are better options. We might be back someday, but it won't be on our short list.

My wife and I had dinner at Trattoria Tramonto during a recent visit to Anguilla. This was our first time there, though we considered eating there during previous visits. I'm glad we finally made it, because we really impressed with the food and service. The restaurant is a bit hard to find in the dark. Take the main road all the way to the west end, where the public road ends and a private road begins (there's a sign for the restaurant there). Proceed down the private road and you'll see the restaurant. The restaurant is close to Cove Castles, which has been closed for many years now.I had made a reservation (via e-mail). When we arrived, they had us down for 4 people instead of 2, but they quickly rearranged the tables so our new table for 2 had a better view than the original table for 4 (we didn't ask to be moved). That was our first clue that the service was going to be really good. The decor inside the restaurant was very attractive, with high ceilings, and everything was open (but covered). We decided to skip starters and save room for dessert instead. For dinner, my wife had the lobster ravioli and I had the "Homemade Tagliatelle alla Bolognese della Nonna," both of which were very good and high quality. We had a bottle of the house red wine (a chianti) with dinner, which was good. For dessert, my wife had the molten chocolate cake and I had the tiramisu, both very good. I also had a glass of calvados after dinner. Service was excellent throughout the meal.I wished we had tried Trattoria Tramonto sooner. It's definitely on our short list for future trips to Anguilla!

We had read their book years ago and always wanted to visit. Its SUPER cool that they take their staff on a trip every year!! Our waitress Tangeria (sp?) was AWESOME! Super fun. Food was delicious. You must have dessert. Atmosphere was lovely. Only complaint - lots of small plates and not a lot of entrees on the menu.

Straw Hat Restaurant serves breakfast, lunch and dinner, seven-days-a-week, at our beautiful beachfront location at the Frangipani Beach Resort on Meads Bay Anguilla. Straw Hat is open annually from November through August and is closed in September and O
While staying at the Four Seasons we quicklyLearned that it was highly cost effective to choose Restaurants within walking distance from Our Hotel, especially when the local Taxi Service is approximately $10.00 a minute (no exaggeration). So, we were pleasantly surprised to experience the Straw Hat Restaraunt which is right on the beach, owned and managed by a fellow Connecticut Native, Peter Parles and his Wife, Ann. Peter and his Staff of nineteen years, who survived and rebuilt after Hurricane Irma, make you feel right at home with their multi faceted menu of endless Appetizers, Cocktails, Wines, Beers, and delicious desserts. Their Honey Rosemary Pork Chops, Seared Ahi Tuna, Seafood Pasta, are the best on the Island. The Straw Hat is a Gem on the Beach and a most memorable destination!

Watch the crystal clear waters wash the sparkling white sands as you enjoy a refreshing cocktail in the comforting shade of your umbrella. SunShine Shack is the place to experience real island vibes in Anguilla, this is paradise! The bar explodes with lif
We spent and excellent day at Sunshine Shack. Upon entering we were warmly greeted by the entire staff. They introduced themselves and shook our hands. What nice people. We arrived at 10:30 when they opened and immeditaly placed our lunch order of ribs. We were served around 12:45. They were fantastic. Garvey is a grill master and to be a grill master the process cannot be rushed. I cannot say enough about how kind everyone was. The service was impeccable and everyone is truly warm, kind and friendly. Always checking on us to see if we needed anything. This was our first trip to Anguillla but not our last. SSS will be one of our first stops on our next trip. The lobsters look phenomenal. We will get an order of ribs and one of lobster on our next trip.

*make sure you get reservationsBy far Sharkyâs was our favorite meal of the whole trip. How magical to be eating on someoneâs porch a meal that hands down contends with the CuisinArt. The Lobster Stir Fry special that everyone raves about was good and very Insta worthy but I would encourage you to try something different. My Mahi Mahi on Mashed Potatoes was completely scrumptious! The house is the Chefâs whose nickname is Sharky bc heâs a card shark! His brother was our waiter and owns a great taxi service on the island! They are so kind and hospitable, a must do for the island!
