Went to this on a recommendation from another recommendation. Something must have gotten lost in the translation because it was not good. The atmosphere was dreary, the sushi was too warm and worst of all they don't serve cocktails. For an appetizer I ordered the Crab Salad and it was drenched in mayo. With all the fabulous sushi places on Long Island, I would skip this one altogether.

It's always summer at the Seagull ! Come have fun and relax while enjoying some great food and drinks on the Great South Bay! Casual dining great for the whole family.
Have been to Seagull a few times, most recently last week. Though they were a bit backed up because of a large party that did not have a reservation and they were already out of some of the specials, it was still a good night and our server was fantastic. I had the lobster roll special on this particular night and it was fantastic! It was a bit of a different take on a lobster roll (e.g., diced green apples), but it worked. Fresh calamari app and crab cakes were good. They had a bacon wrapped stuffed shrimp app that I did not care for. It had horseradish in it and the flavors did not mix well at all. That said, overall it was very good.

Very unprofessional management and bus boys. I'm not writing about the food this time. But the 2 lb lobsters were good. When our plastic bowls came out with the lobster bib, nutcracker and wipes, we got a special surprise. In one of the bowls were two beetles. We got another bowl, but it was still quite upsetting. How do you take a bowl and place things in it and not see TWO BUGS IN it. Not one, but two. We checked out our food carefully & it seemed okay. The bus boys would pour water and pick up dirty plates crossing over in front of you instead of walking around you properly. I guess it's cheaper to hire kids without training. Although they were polite. When we were leaving I went over to a man who was pointed out as being the owner and said to him, the least you could of done was offered coffee or dessert. Instead he gave a very inappropriate answer. Didn't even apologize. They lost our business and we would never recommend Alletto's to anyone. Remember the ratings have nothing to do with my review. The price of a 2 lb lobster was good.
