Ocean Prime is one of my favorite restaurants in D.C.! Their service is top notch, their food is extraordinary and their atmosphere is classy to say the least! Met friends here for my birthday and werenât disappointed! The truffle popcorn is legendary at the bar. You can be full and eat two bowls of the stuff easily! Alajondro, our bartender, bent over backwards to serve us and makes an awesome Cucumber Gimlet! Owen, our waiter, was impeccable with his service and couldnât have been better! Started off with a very fine Lobster Bisque that was rich, creamy and flavorful with tons of meat in it! My wifeâs salad was finely chopped and lightly dressed, very tasty! The Prime Steak Tartare by Chef Leo is one of the finest in the city! My friends agreed it was one of the best they have eaten! Superb! Our entrees all were excellent! My Lobster was perfectly cooked and amazing, butter soft! My wife and our friends wife split the Super moist Grouper, which had a mind blowing Gnocchi! It simply melted in your mouth! My friend had the 14oz, 90 day aged ribeye that just melted in your mouth! The sides with these, if this is possible, stole the show! Gouda cheese tater tots were super flavorful, big and addictive! Superb! Smoked Brussel Sprouts, also a huge winner, had amazing flavor! The ooey gooey cheesy Potatoes Au Gratin are to die for! Superb, Superb! Finished up with another eye roller for dessert, their famous Butter Cake! They gave it to me for my birthday and what a present! Buttery goodness in a big , super moist cake surrounded by a multitude of fresh berries! Just come here for sure for your evening out with friends or significant other, wonât disappoint and is highly recommended! Enjoy!

First time at Grillfish, although we have dined at some of the group's other venues and enjoyed them. Really liked the vibe here. Service was excellent--friendly, attentive and knowledgeable. Some of the standouts included the ginger calamari, the seared scallops and the shore dinner. Really great food. Good choice of wines. Overall, an outstanding value in DC.Thank you for trying Grillfish, and I am glad we met your expectations. I hope you will come back for many more memorable experiences.

We had an adult family dinner at Pearl Dive, and highly recommend it. Really fun cocktail list, and good beer selection. The wines by the glass are limited but good.A large selection of oysters, all of which were fresh and cold. All of our party had a fish dish. The grilled redfish is recommended, as is the catch of the day. Didn't get dessert as we were more than full from dinner. It's not a large space, so get reservations. More of a happy hour atmosphere on Friday afternoons, but great prices at that time.

BlackSalt is the much anticipated concept restaurant from Chef Jeff Black, featuring an upscale fish market fronting a vibrant bar and elegant restaurant.
We come here from time to time by invitation of others; it's never good. Everything is tricked out to appear like a serious fish restaurant. The market in front. The open kitchen. The tasting table. Even the often precious presentation of dishes. But the food never TASTES good. This lunch for three was no exception. The tuna tartar literally tasted like chum. Usually the briny taste of raw tuna is cut with some kind of addition, like soy sauce. There was no balancing of the flavor. The fish tasted old or from the blood line. It was stacked in a small tower over avocado (fancy presentation) with crunchies on top. But the bottom line is that all three of us tasted this dish and put our forks down. For main, I ordered a mixed salad with grilled salmon on top. The salad was overdressed and underwhelming. The salmon was ok, but not great, and certainly not up to the standard that the restaurant claims it rises to. My wife had a salad with sautéed soft shell crab, which was also disappointing. The one bright spot was our server, who was excellent. (Not always the case at this place.) He was friendly, provided great advice, and said any substitution on the menu could be made. But when it comes down to taste, this place has never been good, and we've been reluctantly coming for years. Stick to the raw bar, if you must order food here.

Established in 1856, the Old Ebbitt Grill was a favorite of Presidents Grant, Cleveland, Harding, and Theodore Roosevelt. The restaurant's decor is comprised of a Beaux-Arts facade, mahogany and velvet booths, and bars set in marble, brass, and beveled gl
Very good food and very busy. (The place has 4 different bars.) A pretty varied selection and everyone enjoyed all of the different items we ordered.

Took the family here for dinner to celebrate my wife's birthday. We had reservations and arrived 15 minutes early and were seated right away. The waiter was very nice and explained everything about the menu and the specials. My wife had the stone crabs and really enjoyed them. I had the 16oz porter and it was great very juicy, flavorful, and was a good medium cook. I also highly recommend the Boston Cream pie for dessert. Although it was a very expensive meal, everyone enjoyed it and thought it was worth the price.
