First of all, the small restaurant has a wonderful original croatioan atmosphere: a terrasse with trees, fishing and traditional cooking utensils, and a nice open oven. Besides Croatian, the owners can speak very well English and German. We were a group of people (with children) and were comforted very well. Everybody was very happy with the food and drinks. Really excellent was the traditional fish stew!!!

One of the oung waiters was really rude and unpolite. I understand, that the season is long and you have in the middle of August enough, but still you can´t be unpolite with your guests - even if they put a silly question, as do you have a bathroom.Upon payment they tried to overcharge us with an additional coffee and salad.Location and food is nice, but I would not return. We own a fammily restaurant allmoust 40 years and in that time we learned how to appreciate and care about every and each of our costumer, and how important they are for us so I'm really sorry if we somehow offended you. I can assure you it wasn't our intention.

In the core of the sunny island of Hvar, in the small village of Vrisnik, there is the family run tavern Vrisnik. Its domestic ambiance and friendly humoured staff will make you wish to return each and every time again. Its blend of pleasant atmosphere an
We actually came to the restaurant two times while our vacation in Hvar. The food was simply amazing, the octopus was soft as butter and it melted in your mouth! You should deffinitly try "hobotnica ispod peke"(you must order 3 hours in advance) and "hobotnica na toc".

Restoran located in the port of Jelsa 43° 9' 40.98" N 16° 41' 41.51" E, Jelsa, Croatia
We visited this restaurant after a recommendation from our Sunsail hosts, we were not disappointed! Josephine (Josipa) was the most fantastic host, extremely friendly and nothing was too much trouble. The Calamari was beautiful as was the sesame chicken which was recommended for our daughter, we loved it so much we returned the next evening and 3 of us had the sesame chicken! The fresh fish was also delicious. Cannot say a bad word about Me and Mrs Jones, Josepinaâs attention to detail was second to none. We will definitely return.

We visited this restaurant last year on recommendation and were so impressed that we couldnât wait to return. Yesterday was the first day of our summer holiday and we drove from Hvar just to dine here. The food, fantastic (again). We ordered a cold Dalmatian plate starter (20â¬), with fresh sea delicacies - tuna, swordfish, octopus... and were shocked with the big portion and tastefulness, we kept silent and smiling the whole time of enjoying it. For the main we order their in-house specialty, home made pasta cooked with black cuttlefish ink with sea shells, mind blowing. And for the wine, we always go for local âopenâ white as we like fresh wine and learned some time ago, that in good Dalmatian restaurants they will always have a good stock from a small local winemaker. They also serve pizzas, which to some might not fit well with a good seafood restaurant but, as we got free pizza bread on the side, i can tell they are delicious as well. Itâs on our list this week as well :)And lastly, the service, which i read is not good in may places here lately, i give high grade as well. You can see immediately this is a family ran restaurant and also the waiters seem to be local. Everyone has a smile on and you really feel welcome. This is our favorite on the island and as we come to Hvar every year, it will remain our âMust stopâ, couple of times :)

Beautiful and protected setting: the back half of the restaurant is under vines, and the front half under a roof. Beautiful flowers in the back. This is a family run restaurant run by a German wife and Croatian husband. The son was our server, and he spoke German, English and French, as well as Croatian. I had the Mediterranean salad plate, which had chicken, beans, cucumbers, tomatoes, lettuce and Kraut Salat, served with basalmico. All fresh seasonal vegetables. It was a full meal, but we had started with the fish pâté, so I had to pack up part of my salad. The fish pâté was well worth it: highly recommend. I also had the house red wine, and finished with a half of the sugared figs with vanilla ice cream. My portion of the meal ran about 165kn, including everything except the tip.

A restaurant with a long tradition, since 1997. Rich Mediterranean cuisine prepared from local indigenous viands and our homemade pasta will contribute to the full experience of enjoying Jelsaâs beauty. You will find us at city centre where you will be we
We had pizza and salad to share. Both dishes were good. Salad was presented well. Service was good and it had a nice atmosphere. Good location on the waterfront. Only missed on being a five because it was unremarkable. Also the pizza should have been pre-sliced in our opinion.

There were 7 of us in the group having various dishes. Everyone thought their dishes were superb. I had seafood risotto - food highlight of the trip. Beautifully cooked which isn't always easily done with risotto.Other guests had various cooked steaks - all cooked to their choice superbly. Great tasting.Cannot fault anything.

Great experience, great service, a bit pricy. We especially liked the seafood and the local white wine was excellent. We will certainy be back. (I wrote a review of this restaurant in July 2019 but used the wrong address; we visited Bonaca in Vrboska at Hvar, not Dubrovnik.)

This restaurant is oriented to Mediterranean cuisine and its specialty is fish and grilled meat. Our professional cooks have many years of experience and create menu's based on the seasonal choices we buy from local farmers and fishermen. Hand-made pasta
Great location. Food with a strong seafood base is good. Service okay. Outdoor seating is the go. Inside is pretty ordinary
