On the main road if you make your way into Horst through Meterik, we phoned and booked in advance as even on a Tuesday evening the outside seating was full. Lovely setup with plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. Staff are very polite and welcoming. The menus are in Italian and Dutch so some translation will be required. The chef is happy to service individual requests however the pizza menu is extensive and I challenge you not to find a combination you'll love. We can recommend the garlic focaccia, bruschetta and mixed seafood antipasti to start, penne arrabiatta, lasagne, salmon tagliatelle and pizzas for main and chocolate mousse and tiramisu for pudding. All the food was eaten and we were fit to bursting when we left. Our bill came to 180 euros for 7 people including drinks, coffees and a tip.

We went here for dinner and sat outside overlooking the river. Superb setting. I had superp muscles for starters and a huge rack of lamb for main course that defeated me. Great service on top as well.

Sometimes I buy a voucher at Groupon for a reasonable priced experience of a Michelin restaurants. Most of the times we get a very nice meal and we go back afterwards without vouchers. As we were in the area I booked Brienen aan de Maas at the last moment through Groupon. It was nice weather so great top be able to sit outside on terrace overlooking the Maas. We had a 4 course lunch for 2. Not that the food was bad but not what we are used to using a groupon in other Michelin restaurants. Presentation wise I think they had a trainee preparing our dishes, fine but still you have to present the food as it should be, this was not Michelin style. Quality wise it was ok but not more than that (for a michelin restaurant). Service was friendly. Wine list is limited. Based on this (test) experience I wouldn't go back. Nearby there are several michelin restaurants that give you a better tasting of what a michelin restaurant should be for the same price.

I ate here again recently and it hasn't lost any of it's charm. The owner grows much of her own produce and her signature is the use of edible flowers. I have never been disappointed and this time was as good as ever. I know I'll be going back.

This restaurant caters specially for park guests of Landal de Vers. Therefore, the main public is families with children. The noise levels therefore are quite high. If you wish to avoid that, go a it later as the families tend to be gone at 8. The dishes are plate like dishes, with (in the season) some asparagus dishes which stand out from the normal ones (sateh with fries, steak, carpaccio). For the kids, there are several choices including ones containg surpises for them (they love it!)They are not bad though , but expect no culinary surprises. There is a limited selection of wines.

What a pity! Food was excellent but the service was poor and very slow. There were two waitresses but one disappeared during the meal leaving only one, who appeared to be a trainee. It may be that staff were on holiday but then they should have remained closed until the service could have done justice to the chef.

This Chef certainly knows what he is doing! Very good cuisine, along with several well trained staff guarantee that you enjoy a great dinner here. Nice, luxurious atmosphere, but dining here is very affordable, if you relate it to the level of the dishes served. To give you an idea: a three courses à la carte dinner for twou, including a bottle of fine wine, will set you back around 150 euros. In other words, we will definitely go back here.
