Adriatic inspired fusion Cafe Restaurant, specialising in great quality food, sourced from the local area. Come meet our friendly staff and try one of our speciality dishes and cocktails.
Where do I start with Obala? Not only are the views of the beach fantastic but this little gem is in close proximity to a multiplicity of hotels & apartments which makes it an easy an pleasant walk to & from dinner or lunch. The service I experienced was great, not only was the clock about to tick over for happy hour to end but the lovely waitress gave me drinks at happy hour price because I was only a few minutes over, now when youâre experiencing something as little as that, it makes a colossal difference to your dining experience. The food was delectable & the atmosphere was fantastic. If & when youâre in Coolangatta or Kirra Beach next, Obala is a must!

At The Fish House, our job is to buy the best available produce on a daily basis then try not to mess with it too much. We are heavily influenced by Southern Europe. That being said, we believe in the simple pleasures of olive oil and lemon juice, rather
What should have been a seafood experience we were left extremely disappointed. The seafood menu and selection was bland to say the least and the seafood itself was bland. The main course of Jew fish was of age! And would question how the seafood is selected. On the upside you could not fault the waiting staff, who turned what could have been a real disappointment into a lovely day. The prices do not meet the quality of seafood provided and are well over priced for what was received. If the quality was there, I would not question the price.

By chance we passed Georges on our way back to our hotel, and on reading the menu displayed on the window we were amazed at how reasonable the prices for pasta,& seafood, and even the drinks were. So naturally that was our dinner choice venue that night, No bookings, but suggest you arrive early as tables fill quickly and the restaurant is not huge. Service and food were good and it is located opposite the beach. We will certainly be back next time in Cooley.

Pan-Asian flavours in one of the Gold Coast's most iconic locations. Focusing on fresh locally sourced produce with intention to share.
A group of us went to Rick Shores for lunch with great anticipation of a memorable meal. It was a busy lunchtime. We were disappointed to find that the decor is tired , menu was OK and food was not upto par. The service was poor. There were plenty of staff but they almost avoided work. None of our dishes were as good as we expected or had previously enjoyed. It is a shame as the waterfront position is great.

Came here with friends. The renos look great, amazing view of course, plenty of tables. The place fills quick but empties just as fast. People did not seem to hang around even though it was Sunday and there is live music. The staff seem friendly enough and were clearing the tables quickly. The food however could do with some tweaking. Every meal is ginormous but I think they sacrifice flavour. I had the roast vegetable salad, but I probably wouldnât be call it a salad. It was literally big chunks of roasted mix veggies on a bed of plain cous cous. I was expecting the cous cous to be flavoured with some kind of spice, like Moroccan and maybe have some sultanas through it to give it the flavour it needed. It was a huge plate of bland food unfortunately. My hubby and friend both had the Asian pork dish, which actually had a very nice flavour, but again it was enormous, with a tonne of rice. There is only so much sticky sweet pork a person can eat. Even my hubby couldnât finish it. If they reduced the size of the meals and concentrated on the flavour, I think they would be onto a winner. The other let down is there is no cake cabinet. You wouldnât know that they served dessert unless you asked, which is what we did. Another let down, as there were only 3 options. I say get a cabinet in there and put it on display. The desserts were amazing when they came out so I donât understand why they donât advertise them.
