The restaurant is well located on the small place of the nice village Den Hoorn. The atmosphere is extremely friendly, the waitresses are extremely kind and funny, and we have spent there three memorable dinner and evening. The food is family type but well prepared, and very tasty. Follow the advices of the waitress, we have discovered interesting and original meals from Texel. A very nice place to go with friends, family and even your lover.

Many visitors know the way to our cozy pub restaurant de Rog (English: Ray) in the middle of the Kikkertstraat, the main street of the village Cocksdorp. In summer, a cozy terrace on the village street and a second terrace on a beautiful nature were you c
Used to visit this "brown" pub/restaurant for many years. There was a changeof "local" management and we did not recognize the "friendly" atmosphereadhered to "the Rog". Other than pleasing the client, it seemed that we hadto please the "manager on duty". Our advise: You better change your attitude or you will loose your customer base.

Open all year round, from Wednesday-Sunday for coffee, lunch and dinner. During (Dutch) schoolholidays also open on Monday and Tuesday. Located in one of the most beautiful places on the island, with a fantastic view over the harbor of Oudeschild, stands
The best place to eat fish and sea food in all Netherlands. After 4 years in The Netherlands finally I found the best restaurant. Friendly staff, perfect location and amazing atmosphere. We were for lunch and dinner and both are really good options. The oysters and the catch of the day are gorgeous. It's not cheap but for Dutch prices isn't expensive. We will come back for sureDear Diana Carolina B,Wow, what a great review!Thank you so much for your lovely compliments, we are happy to read that youâve enjoyed your 2(!) visits so much. Our oysters are always a good choice, since they come freshly out of the homarium that is placed in the restaurant. Thank you and we would love to welcome you back next time!Team ât Pakhuus

Delicious food, often made from local products like a variety of Northsea fish, shells, crab and of course Texel lamb. Jef is really a mastercook, creating stunning yet harmonious flavours. I loved the sweet Northsea crab with a mild light sour yoghurt style sauce. Fantastic langoustine, short grilled with a strong aromatic 'Dashi' sauce. Nice detail are the matching breads by each dish. Very thoughtful wine arrangement, great hospitality by Nadine and her crew. Can't believe this is only one star. Trip worthy..

Restaurant Wambinge is named after the oldest village on Texel. Characteristic is the warm atmosphere and the fantastic location by the water. Here you definitely taste the heart of authenticity. The power of simplicity reflects in the tasty dishes. Resta
Dined in this restaurant twice in one week. I think that says enough. Pure quality food together with a very motivated staff that gave us a good service. I had lamb (perfect), my wife had fish (Dorade, excellent). This restaurant deserves the highest qualification. If I have the give one improvement advice: be more generous with vegetables.

I tried the lamb burger with garlic sauce in this restaurant. So delicious! Served with a salad and very tasty French fries. Very recommended! Staff was very friendly. This restaurant sells its own cookbook + a variety of local products. Too bad we weren't long enough in De Cocksdorp to have dinner there as their menu card looks delicious.

Let's call it a cute restaurant. It serves fresh fish, it serves Texel lamb, which was the reason we came. And we were not disappointed. A delicious meal, a memorable meal.We had a great time. One thing to remember, reservations are a must.

We serve one menu of at least 4 courses (saturday starting at 5 courses) with only the ingredients that we really support. Our appetizers and dishes are inspired by the seasons, what the island offers us and vegetables have the leading role. The meat, fis
Whilst holidaying on Texel, we celebrated our wedding anniversary with our two boys (aged 9 and 13) by introducing them to fine din8ng in Kook Atelier. They were a little nervous beforehand, partly at the thought of experimenting with food and partly because we don't speak Dutch. As we entered the restaurant, any fears were quickly dispelled as our waitress greeted us in excellent English and went out of her way to make us all feel at home. We went for a six course 'surprise' menu, with added amuse bouches. We were not disappointed; every course was made from fresh, local produce and was presented with beauty, style and in one course humour (a delicious seafood dish served in a sardine tin!)The taste combinations were exquisite, with parsley sorbet, served with strawberries in multiple forms, a real surprise hit! The service was also exceptional, the waitress and chef going out of their way to ensure we all got the most out of our meal. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who enjoys a truly fine dining experience. Thank you. Thank you so much for this wonderfull review, hope to see you again!

Kleinschalig visrestaurant: in intieme huiskamersetting dineren. Ons menu bestaat voornamelijk uit vis maar ook een aantal lokale vlees- en vega-gerechten. We maken graag gebruik van eerlijke en streekgebonden producten. Onze gerechten zijn puur van smaak
The service and atmospherewere both quite good, but the food was absolutely outstanding. The combinations aren't spectacular -there's nothing new about texel gray shrimp with a cocktailsauce- but this was simply delicious. The fish were fresh, the sauces great and most importantly: everything was in balance. Even the side dishes were great, especially the rhubarb really stood out. All combined it was a really delicate, delicious meal.
