Reopened October 25, 2017 with new Owner, Chef and menus. Join us for Thursday Burger Night and Prime Rib every Friday Night. Locally sourced foods with fresh baked goods. Specializing in local beef, lamb, and pork.
(Thomaston Cafe was closed for a while, and reopened under new management with a grand opening 10 Nov 2017 -- so don't pay any attention to reviews before that.) We went mid-morning on a beautiful Sunday, our first visit since the original Thomaston Cafe closed -- and there was almost no one there, maybe two other tables. My wife ordered crab cake benedict -- two thick crab cakes with perfectly poached eggs and hollendaise on a crispy grilled English muffin ($13) -- and declared it excellent. My prime rib quesadilla (also $13), on the other hand, was nothing to rave about. Both came with a side of uninspired red potato homefries. The regular coffee, drunk black, was good. The decaf, my wife felt, was watery (but, then, she always tarts it up with sugar and cream, so it needs to be robusto to withstand that.) Service was adequate, certainly the opposite of intrusive. Altogether pretty much an average experience.

My husband and I have had numerous meals at The Slipway since it reopened after a year off. We have been beyond impressed by the creativity and quality of the food, as well as the exceptional service. We tend to order share plates from the always awesome, always rotating specials board and even after being fairly regular visitors for years weâve been blown away in 2019! Do yourself a favor and visit The Slip if you get a chance!

Just amazing, fresh, reasonably priced, friendly, fabulous food. In our 9 days in Friendship, we ate their food 4 different times! Steamers (not sandy at all), incredible oysters, haddock, seafood dinner, did I mention haddock....what's not to love? Ate in 2 times, did take-out twice. No matter. Everything totally fantastic. Don't forget the ice cream! Thanks, Jamesons-loved it all!
The Port Kitchen is located inside the Port Clyde General Store and has everything from salads to burgers to seafood dishes! Check out our website for the full breakfast and lunch menu!

Dockside Dining at it's Best! Located on the docks of Port Clyde we bring you fresh caught seafood 7 days a week, from May to October. We are opening for the season on Thursday, May 23rd!
We enjoyed the Dip Net several times over a period of weeks. The food is reliably good. Rather than go for the same things, we journeyed through the menu and only occasionally had one of the fried baskets, which are good but filling. Of those, the whole baby clam basket is best. A delightful lunch is with the Maine Summer Salad with grilled shrimp on top or the Maine Coast kelp salad with broiled haddock. We also like the blackened haddock tacos and haddock chowder. The burgers are quite good and so are the onion rings. The halibut bites and scallops are also very good. During busy times you will want to make a reservation especially if you want to sit in the shade. Relax and enjoy - the view and the happenings on the dock are quite fun.

**This place is temporarily closed.**
This was pretty much the only place in the area so we decided to stop. It looks like a shack next to someone's house, and there's an outdoor seating area with a roof over it. There were some mosquitoes bothering us, but it wasn't too bad. The food itself was decent, prices were good.

We're officially open for the 2019 season! Come sit on our deck overlooking beautiful Tenants Harbor, where you can see lobsters being landed daily by lobstermen from the Tenants Harbor Fisherman's Co-op. Enjoy a lobster roll, crab roll, haddock sandwich
We had the Duo........half of a crabmeat roll and half of a lobster roll. The seafood was not dressed with Mayo, which I would have liked but still delicious. We also had a beer, and the Wild Blue Salad and the ginger soda water. Everything was delicious. The salad was large and had lots of pickled blueberries. The view is worth the price of admission. The hosts were also very welcoming to our little dog. What a great place to have a special meal.

German and American Food. Daily food and drink specials. Great food and service. A most stop when visiting Maine.
it was a full lunch house with only two waitresses. One was basically doing all the work. She was polite and handled the pressure with professionalism. Our brother n law was stationed in Germany and the food was just like Germany. The food and drinks came out in a timely fashion. Was very very good. Great portion sizes too. We had the lobster bisque, and a German soup. In fact, my husband and I stopped back after my brother and sister n law left for home. We were not disappointed. It's not just German food, but it's refreshing to sometimes get away from seafood. The margaritas were awesome. The service was exceptional.
