Things to do in Summerside
This is run by a married couple who have really excelled at the service and quality of the food. You can see they are detail people who look out for all the issues impacting a great meal.
We were looking to find a good seafood restaurant in the region of Summerside when Quality Inn hotel recommended us "The Shipyard" on Water Street. The restaurant is supposed to be opened up to 9:00PM. Arriving there at 8:30PM on a Sunday evening of July, we were surprised to hear at the entrance of the restaurant that they "sold their last plate"... meaning that they did not have anymore food to serve to the clients, not even a soup or a chowder. It makes no sense and it is not serious. I drove to go to Summerside to eat at this restaurant because it seems the food is very good... but we will never know if it is true. So even it is supposed to be opened you should be well advised to call the restaurant before to drive there... in case they already "sold their last plate".

Seasonal seafood restaurant, with a large seaside patio. Focuses on fine, freshly prepared seafood dishes, providing traditional favorites as well as some interesting alternative choices for the more discerning palette. Catering to both locals and interna
A casual place right on the water with indoor and outdoor seating, lots of parking. Mostly seafood but other options too. The chowder was thick with lobster, shrimp and scallops, potatoes, fish, celery and carrots. Delicious we had the small bowl for 10$ and it was filling. We also split the fish tacos. Really really good

We are a family friendly restaurant located in The Silver Fox Entertainment Complex with two beautiful outside decks overlooking the marina in the summer. Our restaurant hours are Sunday-Thursday 11:30-8:00 and Friday-Saturday 11:30-9:00. We have free liv
The restaurant was mostly empty, as it was in May. We sat right by the window, but it was cloudy and drizzly outside. Our waitress was very nice and very efficient. The meal was good, but nothing outstanding.

My daughter and I decided to eat at new revamped Crown and Anchor Pub (now Iron and Salt) before seeing Bryan Adams last night. What a disappointment when we handed the menu. Gone are all the great pub fair and instead is a limited, expensive menu. We had the flank steak ($29.00) small piece of steak, a few fries and some snap peas, still hungry when we left! If we had't been going to the concert, we would have left after receiving the menu and ate elsewhere, but were short on time. Needless to say, we won't be returning unless the pub menu returns.

Ample parking out front. Very clean inside including washrooms. Good variety menu, but no local or provincial beer. Excellent service, good prices and good specials. We had the steak special, and it was tender and good value. A lot of noise from some kids. Perhaps a children section so groups with no kids can eat quietly.i would eat here again, and recommend this resturant.

Our meal was disappointing. Mussels were not those PEI is famous for. They were small, mostly male and not particularly tasty. Fish taco was tasty but nothing special with a greasy batter. Fish and chips was subpar. Fries under cooked and as with the taco the fish batter was greasy. Service was good and prices reasonable but .....wouldn't rush back!

OpenEats is an open concept restaurant located on Water St. in Summerside. A bistro atmosphere focused on serving locally sourced ingredients.
This excellent restaurant is hiding behind an unassuming shop front in Summerside. The staff are lovely, enthusiastic and helpful, the atmosphere is good, the menu is eclectic and fresh and the presentation overall is first class. Try the crostini to start (you may need to share!). We also enjoyed the meatloaf and the hodgepodge main courses immensely!Desserts are also wonderful (the lemon tart in a jar is recommended). The prices are very reasonable. This is a young, dynamic restaurant well worth a visit. 5 stars!Hey LynR, thank you so much for your kind words! We are blessed to have so many wonderful friendly people come through our doors and spend the evening with us. I'm happy to hear that your food was top notch and we are all very pleased to be called young and dynamic!Thank you for warming our hearts with this glowing review, enjoy your travels!
