It is the county seat of Payne County, Oklahoma, United States. As of 2012, the city population was estimated to be 46,560, making it the tenth largest city in Oklahoma. Stillwater is the principal city of the Stillwater Micropolitan Statistical Area which had a population of 78,399 according to the 2012 census estimate. Stillwater was part of the first Oklahoma Land Run held on April 22, 1889 when the Unassigned Lands were opened for settlement and became the core of the new Oklahoma Territory. The city charter was adopted on August 24, 1889. Stillwater is home to the main campus of Oklahoma State University as well as Northern Oklahoma College - Stillwater, Meridian Technology Center, and the Oklahoma Department of Career and Technology Education.

The Stillwater location is typical of all Red Lobster restaurants: Pricey, decent portions, and the only game in town when you don't live on the coasts and have access to great, fresh seafood. But when you get desperate for something from the sea, this is it.That said, every time I visit, the staff is very welcoming, very helpful, patient with answering questions. The food is fine, always comes out appropriately (hot or cold), the portions are fine and you won't leave hungry. And, the service is fast, meals arrive promptly, even when the place is full. I don't go often, but when I do, it is always an enjoyable experience.

Went to Sam's for first time today for lunch. Had catfish. Several people who came in after us got their food before we did. We didn't think we were ever going to get served. French fries were best I've had in a long time. Hush puppies were overcooked. Tartar sauce had ketchup, yuk. This was our first and last time. We'll be going to Golden Chick for our catfish.

This is the best place in town to get simple, fresh and quick and affordable sushi rolls. Service is very fast and place is trendy and casual. Build a poke bowl is a must try option as well. Fresh tuna and salmon is your best choice for poke bowl.
