This restaurant is amazing in so many aspects! This is the hard-to-find authentic, family run Italian restaurant that you would travel a distance to dine in! Every dish that we have ordered there is superb, especially the fried calamari, Detroit pizza and the special 2 pound stuffed meatballs (offered on special dates.) On top of the mouth watering meals, the prices are very reasonable and the whole staff is so friendly (be sure to ask for Gina, the wife of one of the owners/chefs as your waitress! What a doll she is!). Another honorable mention is the reasonably priced wine list that includes very nice Italian wines that compliment the meals. Our whole family has embraced this restaurant as a âfavoriteâ, so much so that upon their last visit, we cancelled a 5 star restaurant reservation (this was a unanimous vote!) in Davidson to dine there TWO nights in a row. Itâs a fabulous restaurant to bring a large family to - sure to please everyone! Iâm getting a little hungry just thinking about it..... Well done Pellegrinos! We will be back soon.

Worked a couple blocks away for almost six years now and I've passed Skinner's many times, I've never stopped in till today. One reason may be because they are only open on Fridays and Saturdays which does limit available time slots.Was in a rush at work so I just wanted to get something to take back to my desk so I opted for the To Go side. You walk in and proceed to the counter and place your order, pay and take a number. Everything is cooked to order so it's fresh and the wait is not that bad.I ordered the Fried Flounder Combo which turned out to be a couple of hugh slabs of perfectly fried Flounder on a bun with a large serving or very good French Fries and in my case, Lemonade on the side.The food was excellent and they do have other items on the menu besides fish such as shrimp, oysters, pork chops and burgers so they can appeal to a variety of taste.Not fancy but the food and service is there and it's a good value

King Of The Sea is easy to locate and has plenty of parking with several handicap spaces. They are closed on Monday. Tuesday thru Saturday they open at 4:00 PM. Sundays they currently open at 12:00 noon. (See photo of hours). Inside has large dining areas the tables are not crowded. Everything is kept very clean and the tables are highly polished. The booths are well cushioned and the booth tables can be easily moved to allow for additional sitting room. High chairs are kept in a sanitary area. When you first enter there are blackboard specials. The table menus list the daily specials and have senior pricing. Pickup orders are filled the entrance on the left side of the building.

Early supper one day last week. Easy to find with lots of parking. Friendly greeting by hostess and friendly waitress. The place is large with many tables. Everything was clean and ready for business. High chairs were available. Every table gets complimentary hush puppies. Their menu covered the basics and they have specials Monday thru Thursday. There was nothing like swordfish, salmon, snappers, or sea bass on the menu. I had the fried Captains platter and my wife had crab cakes which she liked. I thought the platter was a little on the dry side. Next time I will try the burger.

My wife and I recently ate here and I will break down our meal.Our server was top notch our cold food came cold and hot food hot.The first batch of biscuits were not up to par.. the second batch was much better.The salads was perfect.The main courses were ok. I felt the coconut shrimp was a little overdone and asking for sour cream only on my baked potato was a waste because they still put butter on it too.Overall.
