Sittingbourne is an industrial town situated in the Swale district of Kent in south east England, 17 miles (27 km) from Canterbury and 45 miles (72 km) from London. The town sits beside the Roman Watling Street, an ancient British trackway used by the Romans and the Anglo-Saxons and next to the Swale, a strip of sea separating mainland Kent from the Isle of Sheppey. The town became prominent after the death of Thomas Becket in 1170, since it provided a convenient resting point on the road from London to Canterbury and Dover.

They were able to fit us in at short notice early on a Saturday night. By the time we left, the place was packed and very lively. Extensive and varied menu and great wine list. They have a Josper charcoal oven. My wife had steak and lobster cooked perfectly. I had sea bream - delicious. The accompanying vegetables and garnishes were excellent. The manager must have noticed that I was feeling cold. Before I had a chance to mention it, he immediately adjusted the overhead air-conditioning. Service indeed! It's our closest chip shop, but also our favourite. Well priced, quick service and excellent food. The curry sauce is definitely my favourite in town :-) The Lo's have done a great job, especially with the refurb, it looks clean and modern. Highly recommend.

Used this place about 4/5 times when I'm working in the area, went there today (20/02/2019) and decided to eat in with my workmates. Didn't know they done anything other than fish'n'chips to be honest so was pleasantly surprised by the menu we all opted for the 'All Day Breakfast', the food exceeded my expectations, it was hot, tasty and a good portion size. The staff we found were very customer focused, polite and did an excellent job. The Restaurant was very clean and welcoming, the men's toilets were spotlessly clean, the whole experience exceeded my expectations - Well Done A+

Well cooked meal we ate in, huge portion especially the plaice my wife had. My only gripe was I was not over impressed by the tartar sauce, but would definitely eat here again.

What can I say - this is one excellent fish 'n' chip shop!+ very friendly service+ fish: large, thick, white filets; perfectly cooked whilst remaining juicy/fluffy; crunchy batter+ fries: thick; well salted; very generous portions+ optional splash of vinegar+ mayonnaise, tomato and tartar sauce portions to goOne small minus point:This really is just a chippy to go. No small table to stand or sit at to eat.Overall, simply great value for money! Plus the location on the A2 is perfect if you're passing by.

I only discovered Marinos a few years ago and must say I will never go to another fish and chip shop after finding it! The food is impeccable, always with big portions that will definitely fill you up! And Ive always gotten service with a smile. They definitely go the extra mile to make you feel welcomed where they can. Not only do they do brilliant food, but they also serve gluten free battered fish and chips which you will not find anywhere else around here! Would 100% recommend a trip! You will not regret it!
