The reviews do not lie, this a fabulous little cafe (cafe does not do this place justice, if so, restaurants are doing something very wrong!), entrance is through the craft shop and only has about 9 tables (booking is essential, our innkeeper phoned about 3.30 and they could only get us in at 8 (their last seating). The port tenderloin in mushroom creamy sauce, exquisite, my partner had the chicken stuffed with Camembert, no complaints, decent portions but found room for a pud to share, not cheap but very worth it. Good luck to you.

Lovely little eatery in historic Shelburne. We were warmly greeted upon entry and had our choice of tables as we came early. The place began to fill at 6pm or so.This is a small place with a few booths and maybe 6 or 7 tables. We both had caesar salads which came with a healthy dose of garlic ...yum! I had their halibut and bacon chowder and my husband had haddock bits and chips. The chowder was delicious. The haddock was coated in panko flakes so the breading was both light tasting and crispy. The fries were home made.Service was friendly and efficient.

Good food, ârelaxedâ service (like eating at Moms), and beautiful scenery! They only had one server working for a portion of the afternoon and she was run off her feet. Good selection of local craft beers and seafood dishes...something for everyone, even if they donât like seafood. They do have childrenâs meals on the menu.

Seasonal waterside restaurant offering seafood, sandwiches, burgers, salads etc
The atmosphere and service in this restaurant was excellent. Lots of intricately carved birds line the shelves and it overlooks the water. We all ordered a seafood dish and sadly it was not what we expected. Batter contained corn meal which looked undercooked even though the fish was cooked. It did not taste fresh. Clams were a bit chewy, but scallops and pan fried fish were good. They did replace my haddock with pan fried and it was okay.

I just visited with my family of four. The crumbed fish was delicious- freshly made, light, and crunchy. We also got some pieces of fish battered, which was very doughy. I would definitely get the crumbed fish next time. There only seemed to be one lady working when we visited, thankfully it wasn't too busy so we only had to wait 10 or so minutes for the lady to batter and fry the fish. There were also two small tables to sit at- a nice getaway from the rain outside. If passing shelburne again, we will be back!
