Service was efficient but not warm. Food was average. The starters were good - burratta and sweet cherry tomatoes and good prosciutto, Hokkaido scallops, and octopus legs. None of the main dishes were memorable. The pasta with chanterelle mushrooms were almost not edible. Their Signature Seafood Stew was not robust enough, but the pistachio tart was well appreciated. The chocolate dessert was dull.

Weâd seen that the restaurant was frequently busy and were keen to try. The food was excellent as was the service (mostly). We thoroughly enjoyed the calamari, lemongrass prawns and and pork Bao. For mains we loved the salt baked chicken, Szechuan prawns, Kai lan and sweet and sour pork with lychee. However we were utterly astounded and dumbfounded that the restaurant doesnât serve iced / tap water. Unbelievable in this day and age. We queried and were told it was âcompany policyâ to only serve bottled still or sparkling.

The ambiance is already good, nestled in the heritage st of Bukit Pasoh. The Humpback serves good food with fantastic Happy hour drinks and deals. The staff were really friendly, but not intruding, that makes your dining experience really great. At the same time, their a la carte food were really tasty and fresh. One thing about this place is the oysters. Very value for money and supremely tasty. When ever I need a zinc fix, I always come here. Do make reservations for the Happy hours as they get booked out really fast.Thanks so much for the fantastic review. We look forward to welcoming you back to Humpback again soon :)

We visited for dinner on 1st day of Chinese New Year without prior reservation - given the overwhelming crowd, the crew were fantastic! Good communication on intercom systems, ensuring efficiency from the front door staff managing seating, to the staff taking orders, to the kitchen turnaround. It was clearly explained to us prior to entry that they had run out of Sri Lanka mud crabs and only had Alaskan crabs available. We ordered baby squid, scallops with yam, cereal prawns and seafood fried rice. Food was tasty albeit a bit heavy on taste (but consisered normal for Chinese restaurant.) Bill came up to SGD100 with the towels, condiments and tea. Note: The crew were all experienced staff, very polite and very efficient. I saw multiple instances where they asked "how can I help?" to both customers and to each other. Kudos!

We are delighted that we choose dancing crab (vivo city) as our anniversary celebration. The food was great, friendly staff who gave us a surprise treat for our anniversary dinner. A small gesture but it definitely win our heart. What a nice way to end a great evening. Thank you for the effort and we will be back again soon.
