I had high expectations about this restaurant, but I was a bit disapointed after having a meal there. I tried the Traditional Shrimp Cocktail, tasteless shrimp with a tasteless pepper sauce. After, I tried Shrimp New Orleans, which saved the meal, nice tasty shrimp and sauce. Had a Corona beer. $45 for this meal, a bit expensive. Nice landscape around.

Yes, Coast is a casual beachfront cafe and bar. Chilled Chardonnay, spicy guacamole, and warm tortilla chips await; imaginative chefs and California-inspired dishes take the prize. But Coast is also a state of mind. It's the moment you breathe in the ocea
For real - she used this as the setting for one of the restaurants in Somethingâs Gotta Give and for good reason. This place is so lovely and refreshing. Beautiful ambiance, great service (as expected at Shutters), beach level views, a great outdoor patio and good food. Love breakfast here and always find time to grab one meal here while Iâm staying at Shutters.

We went in the afternoon. A big birthday party was in the back room. Very few other customers. We sat on the patio. Had a pizza and cob salad. Food was good and sufficient quantity. Decor and china was very cozy and nice. People watching was interesting. Service was very attentive. Not sure if will go back because of price, but good for a one time thing.

Seafood Restaurant
Haven't been here for several years because they took the fish and chips off the dinner menu BUT now it's back. They still don't have the trout but my husband and I enjoyed our fish and chips dinner. Our guest ordered the shrimp skewer and said it was very good. Service was prompt, friendly, and efficient. There's metered parking across the street from the restaurant. The prices are a bit inflated.

This was a birthday celebration (son, wife). Made a reservation for 7 PM on a Sunday night, but didn't need it as the restaurant was less than half full. Waiter was very solicitous and helpful. Good menu, good wine. My wife loved her trout, I liked my sea bass less so. Appetizers were well prepared and delicious. Somewhat pricey, but to be expected in this location (beach-facing, fancy hotel). Not sure we would return.

We just arrived in Santa Monica on my birthday and weâre meeting up with friends and family who came together from different places in the country and from England. We planned on dining at the Lobster to celebrate my birthday and 2 other October birthdays in our group. I called to see if we could make a reservation for our group of 7. I was told that on Fridayâs, Saturdayâs and Sundayâs they not only donât take reservations for groups but that they would not even accommodate our group at all even if we were willing to wait for a table. I have never in my life been turned away from a restaurant in that way. I was told we could make a reservation on Monday but there was nothing they could do for us on Friday! I said that my birthday is not on Monday, itâs today so I would take this restaurant off of my future list of places to dine and give my money to in the future. Very disappointed. Ridiculous. Unbelievable that they think they are special enough to turn away a customer who has visited before, referred to others and excited about visiting there. No more, ever again, done. Iâm sure that my review has no meaning to them as they obviously donât need my business and made that very clear. We ended up going to Bubba Gumps Shrimp Company and they not only gave us a reservation but treated us all very nicely and were amazing.

For over 20 years, Water Grill has sated the palates of fish lovers. From the moment it opened, this flagship downtown restaurant from King's Seafood Company has satisfied the need for a world-class fish eatery in Los Angeles. Hailed as "the best seafood
Just arrived in Santa Monica after a long drive from Northern California, we were very hungry. Most of the restaurants in the area were closed and we were almost ready to go to a fast food place. Then we walked by WG, surprisingly (for us) they were still open and we had a great dinner. Food was great: a good choice of oysters (we love oysters) and full menu available even at this time.We had Blue Lagoon oysters, excellent crab cakes (we recently had the same plate in a âfamousâ crab house in San Francisco, these were 10 times better) and cod tacos. They have a number of interesting draught beers and the service was definitely appropriate for the place despite we were sitting at the bar. It was not cheap, but despite it happens frequently in this country the tip was 100% deserved!

Saying the seafood is fresh is a non-starter. The fresh fish and calamary has the flavor of coming off the boat 'today'. It is amazing. There is enough seafood variety for anyone. I suggest crab cakes to start. They are not 'tasted' specific oriented as well-meaning they can be sauced to any spiciness or not at all. The Chipiono is fresh and tasty. I love the heat-element to the dish and the variety of shellfish in it. You can't go wrong if you like seafood!

Stopped by here to kill some time and I'm glad we did! We only had cocktails and some nachos but they were absolutely lovely! The sauces with the nachos are all home made and I would have loved to have dined here properly! We had somewhere else booked unfortunately. Also, for the lads, the lady upon entrance at the restaurant is a cross between Barbie and Pamela Anderson!

High end sushi. Has 4 locations.
I came here with a friend who absolutely loves this restaurant. We came early enough that we waited maybe 5 minutes for a table for dinner, which was awesome since she told me there is usually a crazy wait. The waiter suggested we try the "Trust Me" after he explained the menu, and that's what we both got. The small sushi plates kept coming, and I was definitely full at the end. The fish tasted so fresh, and everything was delicious! I like how they told us to eat everything right away and not add any sauce if a plate already had it on it. Definitely my first experience with a menu like this, and I loved it!
